NOTE: You must agree to all terms listed in the web site link in the bottom right of this page BEFORE booking. Some guests have not done so and upon arriving were surprised to know they needed to bring their own bed linens, towels, etc. I can provide such items for a nominal fee but it's best you bring them yourself. Welcome and thanks for visiting my page! The river is a walk of less than 4 min south. Just over a staggering 2000 sq ft (this does not include the basement which is off limits), the VV is ideal for large groups. It is also a great choice for your vacation destination. This townhouse has all the coziness of a cottage with friendly neighbours ... one of which is MYSELF! ;o) How many STR properties can claim that? Situated in the heart of Brockville's historical district, you will be immersed in the architectural splendour of the 1800s! Leave your car in the driveway as you walk to all the amazing amenities this world-renowned Thousand Islands city has to offer. Your visit will begin with a smile as you read the metal plate on the front door. No, I won't tell you what it says as it's more fun to find that out when you get here! Once inside you will bask in the majesty of 19th century England with soaring 11ft ceilings and regal features. Many rooms have chandeliers and exquisite woodworking with ginger breading, rosettes, wainscotting etc being evident throughout. Built in 1884 (ie horse-drawn wagons brought the lumber, iron and stone used to build it!), this is a house Charles Dickens himself would have been proud to call home! Most of the furniture is period accurate and reflect the stylings seen on YouTube channels like "This House". Don't be fooled though! You will get the best of both worlds as you enjoy the wi-fi and 55" TV (with 7.1 surround sound stereo) along with other modern conveniences like a fully equipped kitchen. Grab the baskets from the front coat closet and take them across the street for a picnic in the park! Even if you don't, the east side of the house looks out onto that space's beautiful trees with the sun shining through them in the mornings. Sit in peace on the balcony amid the front yard trees with sour cherry-laden branches or relax on the wood deck.
Even if you don't stay at the VV, please consider us for your next visit and enjoy your stay in the Thousand Islands area!

| Villa was ok as for bedrooms and washrooms Location was great with a park across the street one issue was mice in the kitchen counter tops which were not expected We also had to get from Dave another toaster One area that was at a disadvantage was the location of the dining room being to far away from the kitchen also the cabinet in the dining room had all dishes and none available in the kitchen cabinet the dining room and living room should be switched having the dining room were the living room is and the living room were the dining room is in this the dining room would be closer to the kitchen

Owner response: Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention and giving me the chance to see where I am going wrong, Allan. I was happy to immediately provide the replacement toaster and glue pads which is the advantage of renting a property whose owner lives next door. There has been no further sign of rodent activity since you left but I will continue to monitor the situation. I have also provided more plates in the kitchen. For the record, I cheerfully doing so when I asked you if you needed anything else would have been no problem. I am assuming the missing 3 stars are due to your layout suggestions. The living and dining rooms are that way in keeping with the original Victorian tradition for room assignments (to lend authenticity to the endeavour). I will take your idea under advisement should a significant number of other guests agree. All my other renters have had no problems the way it is and I'm sure you understand I need to go with the majority. In closing, thanks for returning the keys but respectfully request you follow the directions for doing so for the next properties you rent. You left the front door unlocked which was not ideal even in a sleepy little town like Brockville. Great meeting you and your family and best of luck with your future rentals. Dave | |

| We did spend a weekend at the Brockville Villa with some friends from Europe and Montreal and we had a great time. The place impressed us with so much space and the location. It is across from a nice park, just 5 minutes walks from the boat of St. Lawrence cruise and near the main street with beautiful historical buildings. The kitchen was well equipped with all the cutlery needed, a big fridge and a dishwasher and we enjoyed having breakfasts in the large dining room. All the rooms were spacious, spotless and nicely decorated. During our stay one of the bathrooms was under renovation, but all the three others (one on each floor) were functional. The owner was very responsive to our inquiries, and we recommend the Villa as a great place to spend a vacation.
