Algonquin Lakehouse offers a range of amenities to make your stay memorable and comfortable. Enjoy evening shared meals at the outdoor screened table or outdoor picnic table. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, making meal prep easy and enjoyable. The property includes 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. Step out onto the extended dock to take in breathtaking views of Livingstone Lake's pristine waters. Indoors, unwind with board games, multiple cozy nooks, or a seat by the fireplace. Venture outside to explore nature trails, scenic hikes or explore the lake via the 5 kayaks available or canoe. If you're up for an adventure you can portage to Bear Lake for more scenic hikes and waterfalls. Discover the nearby vibrant town of Dorset, which is full of charm, all while immersed in the tranquil beauty of the Algonquin Highlands and Muskoka.

Please Note: Algonquin Lakehouse has no TV or wifi. Off the gird in that sense.
All major cell phone LTE carriers service reaches the rural property for those who wish to stay connected by phone.
The cabin's water supply is from the lake.
The water supply is UV-filtered lake water. We do suggest bringing bottled water to consume and cook with however, out of an abundance of caution.
Drinking water is available from a local spring, or bring your own drinking water. Bottled water is highly recommended.
There are public stations at the Stanhope Airport, the Township Office, the Dorset Recreation Centre, and the Dorset Scenic Lookout Tower. For more information about specific spring locations, you may want to contact the local tourism office or explore online forums dedicated to nature enthusiasts in the area.

Septic system in place. Please be mindful of usage. Only septic safe toliet paper is to be used. Absolutely nothing else.

Life jackets and water accessories are found in the shed beside the bunkie. Please return when not in use.
2 docks to enjoy the lake and water views. One larger and one smaller.
Dinners can be had in screened in porch off the cottage.
Bunkie is off limits and not included in rental.
Please be mindful of the moss plants and vegetation to the side of the cottage. Please do not trample or walk on top of it.
Out house is off limits. Please do not use it. If the power is out and based on circumstances it is needed pleaase contact us via messages and further directions will be provided.
Kids are welcome! Pull out couch available. Kids amenities such as kitchen ware, potty and table are available upon request.
If the sofa bed is wanted, please advise so the linens can be provided accordingly.
The town of Dorset is approx 24 km away.
The bustling summer town has many things to offer. Please refer to the Dorset Guidebook attached to the listing for further info.
The closest large grocery store to Dorset is likely Robinson's General Store and Home Hardware in Dorset itself. It's a large, multi-faceted store with a Foodland Supermarket, Home Hardware, and other offerings. While not a traditional chain grocery store, it serves as a comprehensive retail space for local needs.
Other options nearby, though further away, include: Sobeys in Gravenhurst (53.2 km), Metro in Huntsville (26.6 km), and Dwight Market in Dwight (13.4 km).
