Welcome to Island View Drive, Golden Lake! A relaxing oasis with spectacular sunsets and panoramic views of the stunning Golden Lake awaits! This fabulous 4 season home is located in the beautiful Bonnechere Valley, southwest of Pembroke ON, ~ 1.5 hours from Ottawa, ~1 hour to the east gate entrance of Algonquin Park, nestled in the shores of Golden Lake. Beautifully updated - featuring 2 bedroom 2 bathrooms, fire place, radiant heat, AC. Westerly facing 4 season cottage (home) features over 100 feet of waterfront and amazing views of Golden Lake. Abounding with natural light, the open concept kitchen and living room provide unobstructed views of the water. A large deck provides a great place to kick back, relax and soak up the sun or curl up with a blanket and a hot beverage in the fall / winter months and take in the scenery. Enjoy a cup of coffee for the sunrise and glass of wine for sunset as you take in the stunning lakeside landscaped oasis:)
During the summer months enjoy a gradual sandy entry into the water and shallower waters off the dock which are great for kids. Kayaks available to explore the area and enjoy the peace and serenity of Golden Lake.
During the fall you can experience the magic and splendor of fall colours alongside serene water. Boating, fishing, hiking and cozying up by the outdoor fire pit to roast marshmallows and create great memories await you!
During the winter you can enjoy the warmth of radiant heat and the fireplace indoors, and venture out to explore the outdoors! We get lots of snow in this area with nearby trails for snow shoeing & snowmobiling (OFSC trails); enjoy ice skating; check out the ice oval racing at the annual Bonnechere Cup in Eganville... Venture over to the Opeongo Hills Nordic Center for a great day of cross country skiing (~30 min drive) or a day trip to Calabogie Peaks Ski hill for downhill skiing/snowboarding (~1hr drive)... or try your luck at ice fishing right on your doorstep.
