What you need to know about Lake Erie
Not all lake Erie water front cottages are the same. Our waterfront is 100 feet from the cottage deck, you could pass a ball to the person in the water while siting on the deck. With 5 steps down to the lake. Many cottage's on lake Erie are on high banks with dozen of steps down to the water front and a steep drop. Some waterfront cottage are over looking water and have a street that runs across them that you need to pack and walk across the street with all your beach stuff. Who want's that when you can sit on the deck and watch the kids play in the water only steps away from them.
We are located on Evans Point which does not catch the seaweed that is very common in areas of the lak,e that bays and many beaches catch causing the area to smell during the hot summer months.
You should always ask how the water front is before booking your cottage. Or drive by if your close enough to check the cottage out for your self.
Weekly rentals are Friday to Friday. Out by 10:00am in at 6:00pm which gives you full Saturday and Sunday use of the cottage. let us know what week you are thinking of and we can tell you cost and if available.
This is the 4th year we are offering our cottage as a rental. If you have any questions or would like to see more pictures please let us know. More pictures can be found on our Facebook page as well.
*Are you looking to do a multi family holiday? We now have 2 cottages on the laneway available. Ask for more details or for availability *
Please see rent schedule for current prices/ scroll down to end of webpage to see available date's Things to know.
Our cottage is located along the shores of Lake Erie and is prone to clusters of little flies at times. To prevent them from getting inside, keep doors closed and close the blinds at night. Turn off outdoor lights and other lights that are not in use or dim the lights as the light attracts the flies as well.
As we are right on the lake please be aware that this does mean there are insects around! You may notice some spiders or bugs during your stay. You may even see a dead fish on the beach. We take great pride in presenting an extremely clean property, but these things are unavoidable and a fact of lake life. We spray, we dust, and we vacuum them all up. We thank you kindly in advance for not judging OUR cleanliness by these factors we cannot control*
Along with that septic you will hear a pump that brings in the water. It should only last 45 seconds and then will silence. We thank you for your patience on this.
Lake Erie is a massive and unpredictable lake. There are times when the water is high and there may not be any beach at the property. It is still a beautiful flat bottom and great for swimming and all other water activities. This is outside our control and can change daily without notice. Please bring your own life jackets and use the lake at your own caution and risk, if you are not a good swimmer do not go out further than you can touch. There is no life guard on duty, kids should always be supervised by a parent.
Please understand that we do not reply to email on weekends but will get back to you on the Monday when return. You can always contact us for any question you have on the number provided.
Do to scams we never ask for money before a signed agreement is in place. You can always call us as well

| We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It was exactly as described. We really appreciated the dining table being set and the bottle of wine. Wilson had also set up the firepit, It was all ready to go for our first night. The hot tub was a hit. We were in it every day. The small touches like shampoo, conditioner and body gel available in the shower was a nice touch too. Wilson was great to respond, we had a few questions and he got back to us quickly. Our stay was only three days and we didn't get the opportunity to use the kayak or paddle boards, but nice to know they were there for our use.

| There are so many fun things to do here- a beach nearby, a lily pad mat, kayaking, hot tub, biking and more. We love the amazing lake view right out of the cottage! The neighbours were either not home or very quiet so we had a lot of privacy. We would definitely recommend this as a quiet, relaxing place for a vacation. We would recommend bringing water shoes.

| We had a wonderful time at the cottage. It was clean, very well maintained and beautiful craftmanship, specially the tables in the cottage; beautiful! Everything we needed was available for use. Yes, the water pump makes noise, but it is a cottage on the lake. Thank you for the opportunity to rent your cottage and we look forward to coming back!

| We are so happy to discover this little gem on Lake Erie! We were a last minute booking looking to escape for the long weekend, and the hosts could not have been more accommodating or hospitable during our stay! The cottage was very clean, and was located directly on the water. They also had a lot of things for our busy family to do! There were kayaks, a tandem bike, and inside movies and games for the kids when we got stuck inside for a bit due to rain! The hot tub on the deck was a bonus!! A short drive to Dunnville to check out the farmers market, and browse the town! We will be back!
