It has a perimeter of 49 km (30 mi)1] and averages 41 m (135 ft) in depth with a maximum depth of 145 m (476 ft), making it the seventh-deepest lake in Ontario, including the Great Lakes.citation needed] There is a narrows which divides the lake into two sections: South Mazinaw, and North Mazinaw, with North Mazinaw being larger and deeper.

We loved this cottage so much we decided to reserve the sister cottage for next year - before the weekend was over! We were 7 ladies. We go away every year. I think we have now found our go to cottage. The cottage is close to the water, bright, comfortable, well appointed. Modern touches, tasteful decor but it retains that cottage feel. There is a ton of seating inside and out and we never felt crowded. There is room for everyone and then some. Loved the sauna (although it tested my fire making skills ). We enjoyed the loons on the lake, the crisp walks along the quiet country roads. Can not complain! We will see you next year!

Our stay was amazing. We had a group of 10 of us (5 couples) that have all been friends for more than 25 years on this getaway weekend. So much space for us all. Clean, organized even had tons of games if you forget your own.
Well stocked!
The owner is very communicative and answered any and all questions we had.
We will definitely be booking again!

This cottage was amazing and we highly recommend it!! We rented it with two other families. The waterfront/dock was especially beautiful. There was lots of comfy seating overlooking the water. The water was shallow at the lakefront and there were two floating mats that the kids (all 10 and under) spent hours jumping between. One of the days was cooler so it was nice to have a hot tub that they could warm up in. We really appreciated all the kayaks and paddleboards that let us explore Lake Mazinaw which was stunning. The cottage itself was amazing too. Lots of seating inside and out, great kitchen with absolutely everything you need and the beds were quite comfortable (not always something you get at a cottage!). The host, Dan, was excellent to work with from beginning to end and in every way. We could not recommend this place more and hope to be back!

Really loved our stay at GlenCannon Retreat #1. The cottage's kitchen is very well equipped with a variety of cook and bakeware, from pizza pans, an electric griddle (loved that) to all sorts of kitchen and BBQ utensils. The extra bar fridge in the lower level was very helpful to help keep our large amount of groceries fresh. The cottage is located on a large and very private lot. The water is clear, shallow (walked out on sand about 60 ft and the water was waist-high) and weed-free so great for young children. We plan to return with our larger family group (11) next year and appreciate the large dining table that can accommodate everyone sitting at the same time. A really nice feature is that 3 of the 6 bedrooms open out onto either the wraparound deck or directly to the outside. Our beds were very comfortable and the cottage was super clean. The hot tub was a huge hit! Our cellphones didn't work in that area (emergency calls only) but my VOIP app (Ooma) did so we always had a working phone connection. The variety of sports equipment available to guests is fantastic. Dan is very pleasant to deal with and responded to my questions very quickly. Overall our best cottage experience to date! A huge thank you to Dan and his team.

It was our 2nd time in this cottage very homey and cozy we were blessed with great weather so the kids very much enjoyed the lake since it's on shallow end they were able to swim freely adults had lots of fun fishing as well

Dan is very nice and easy to communicate with
