The Beach House on the Dunes is a beach lover's dream...

From the spacious backyard you can access your very own private white sand beach, pull up some chairs and enjoy the sound of the waves and the peaceful cry of seagulls. Or if you're feeling inspired, you can start a 12 km long stroll onto the world-famous Dunes of Bouctouche, perhaps stopping along the way to enjoy a swim in the warm salt water of the Northumberland Strait.

Indulge in locally sourced seafood while you are here: the lobster's amazing! Have it right in your back yard while taking in the best view around.

Later, relax on your peaceful private terrace while admiring the windmills of PEI across the water.

The Beach House on the Dunes is a two level, open concept, 5 year old home with all the amenities you'll need for a relaxing beach-side vacation. It has ample storage with two closets for storage in the spacious front entrance, a walk in pantry and lots of space in the solid wood cabinets around the kitchen and in the island.

Enjoy dinner at your rustic harvest table that seats 8, or pull up a stool at the island for some casual drinks. After dinner, gather around in the main living room to watch the seagulls and fishing vessels over the water as the sun disappears for the evening. Or hide away in the nearby reading nook on the brand new sectional sofa that opens up into a queen-sized bed. If this is a romantic getaway, or you've had enough socializing, retreat to the second level master bedroom loft and spend some quiet time counting stars in front of the large bay window, and perhaps indulge in a soak in our large jacuzzi tub, before retiring in the new king-size brass bed.

Our family of 5 had an amazing week in this gorgeous home. We did it all - paddle boarding right off the private beach, oceanside campfire, yoga, badminton on the lawn, plus hours of uncovering shells & making friends with hermit crabs. We also had one incredibly clear night that were able to photograph the stars and the Perseid meteor shower right from the back deck. Wow! There's no way we would have seen any of that from the city. What an experience.

The house is the a perfect base to go exploring. We made it to PEI National Park and Summerside; Hopewell Rocks and Fundy National Park/Alma, into Moncton, Kouchibouguac, and the Eco-Centre which is only steps away.

Lynne is fantastic with recommendations (knows the best places for local lobster) and has impeccable taste. You won't find anything lacking in this home - beach towels, blankets, bluetooth speaker, travel mugs - it's all here. Tons of space and all the comforts of home.

Everyone wanted to stay longer?the true sign of a great vacation! Thank you for opening your home for others to enjoy!

Thanks Sandra! You've inspired me to try paddleboarding myself next summer. And we are very happy you and your family enjoyed your time in our little corner of Paradise.

We are just leaving a week long stay at this wonderful cottage - absolutely one of the best holidays for our family of four. The cottage is spacious - has everything you could possibly need and want (beach towels, blankets, chairs and more) to make your stay an enjoyable one.

The location is perfect! Exploring NB (Shediac, Moncton, Hopewell Rocks, etc...) are quick day trips and we made it to PEI for one full day too! The best home base to enjoy these beautiful provinces.

The beach is fantastic - you have your own private access and mid afternoon the tide is so low you can enjoy the many sand dunes that the are proudly featured in the area.

Finally the view from the deck is like nothing we have seen before. We spent many evenings sipping wine and staring out at the beautiful water while the kids ran around the yard. I spent many mornings reading or doing yoga in front of this amazing view.

The owner is very responsive and accommodating - I will recommend this cottage to anyone planning a visit to NB.

Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Thank you Tanya, you've inspired me to try yoga on the back deck myself! Glad you enjoyed yourselves. Hope to see you again.

My mother and I rented this house for a week this summer and had an amazing time and felt so much more relaxed after it was over! Lynne, the owner, was always quick to respond to my inquiries when making arrangements for the rental.

The house itself is gorgeous, clean, practically brand new and wonderfully decorated with a laid back beachy feel. The sofas and beds were really comfortable. There were plenty of towels and blankets (which came in handy because it was a little chilly when we first got there). All appliances were easy to use and worked great!

When we weren't enjoying the comforts of the inside, we were outside either in the front getting some evening sun in the rocking chairs or taking naps on the lounge chairs on the back deck and, of course, we spent plenty of time on the gorgeous, sandy beach! I just couldn't believe how warm the water was considering the air was a little chilly the first couple of days. The house has several beach chairs so they came in handy while on the beach. The entire time we were there, we had a large stretch of beach to ourselves so it was nice and private. I also did the 5 minute walk along the shore to the Irving Eco Centre boardwalk for a run several times which was very convenient.

We definitely recommend this house to anyone, families looking for fun, or even just a couple of grown-ups looking for a quiet vacation on the ocean! We hope to come back again soon!

Thank you Heather for the lovely review. We would love to have you back anytime!

We were so thrilled to find this idyllic spot and to spend a week waking up to the view of the ocean. Sunrises were spectacular; sipping drinks beachside in the evenings was blissful. Wish we could have spent more time there, but wanted to squeeze in a lot of sightseeing as well - there is plenty to do within a 30 km, but the cottage is also ideally situated for more extensive explorations of southern NB, PEI, and parts of Nova Scotia. It is a very short walk along the lovely sandy beach to the Bouctouche Dune (Irving Eco-Centre), with the board walk and many km more of beach walking along the dune. Near the cottage there is a little sand spit that is perfect for young children as it provides water only inches deep with a very gradual slope. We were amazed at how calm the ocean was - I'm sure it gets windier, with bigger waves, but we had a very calm week. The cottage was gorgeous, very clean, and generously provisioned. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive in all communications. The master suite upstairs had a beautiful jacuzzi tub, separate from the ensuite bathroom. The sofa bed downstairs was exceptionally comfortable, according to our 20 year old! The cottage has air conditioning which we used a bit since we wanted to keep the windows closed and locked when away from the cottage, and it was a hot week, but the aircon didn't quite make it up to the master ensuite - not a huge problem since the ceiling fan and windows provide air flow.

Thanks so much for the lovely review! I can't wait to see those photos.

The Beach House on the Dunes was the perfect spot for our family vacation! It was everything described and more! The house is spacious, convenient, clean, beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated. Beach towels, chairs, toys for the kids. Fully stocked kitchen, grill on the patio, large yard for the kids to run around, and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows!
If that is not enough, the proximity to the beach was the best. The cottage is an ocean front property just steps to the 12 km long beach! The owners where responsive and very pleasant to exchange with! I highly recommend this vacation rental!
