We first visited in August and fell in love. The cottage is stunning. Gorgeous finishings, immaculate inside, floor to ceiling windows, panoramic views of Bass Lake, very quiet, no neighbours on either side, and awesome swimming for young kids. Gourmet kitchen & bathrooms, lots of space for our large group on both levels with sleeping options & cozy plush beds.

Our whole family begged us to return over the holidays. Tobagging was a blast, went ice skating & took long walks on the lake. So peaceful, you could hear a pin drop. Loved skiing 15 minutes away at Horseshoe & Moonstone. Favourite memories: playing snooker & pool, watching the bunnies, building a huge snowman, beating our grandkids at Monopoly in front of the fireplace & Xmas eve feast with relatives from Sweden.

We are so grateful for a memorable Christmas in such a special home.

Dear Michelle and Family,

Thank you for visiting us in the summer and returning again over the Christmas vacation! We love hosting our international guests and hearing that you enjoyed such special family time. The peace and tranquility of our home is really unique, and everyone is amazed at how quiet and beautiful Bass Lake is. At times you feel like you are the only ones on the lake, and the city is a whole world away.

We feel lucky to share our cottage and its surroundings with our guests, and are proud that you enjoyed the true Canadian winter experience with skating, skiing, and the nearby hills on a toboggan. Please send us pictures with the giant snowman!
Wishing you all a safe travels, and hope you will be able to visit again soon.

Sincerely,

Stacie at Whispering Pines Cottage

We were thrilled with our stay at Bass Lake.

The cottage was beautiful and very clean.

The grounds, lake and sunsets were fantastic.

We cannot wait to return this spring.

Dear Dave,

Thank you for spending a weekend at our home. We love hosting our guests 365 days per year throughout all seasons of weather! The summer is of course a highlight, and the fall colours are beautiful on Bass Lake. Your family was a pleasure, and thank you for leaving the cottage upon departure in great condition. We are thrilled you are returning again this spring, and welcome the opportunity for you to enjoy our home anytime.

Stay warm, and we wish you and your family and safe and healthy winter.

Kind regards,

Stacie at Whispering Pines Cottage

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Whispering Pines. We have rented cottages all over Ontario for the past 10 years. This had excellent value and prices very reasonable. Wonderful owners. They left us a sweet welcome note and a bottle of wine, reached out to see if we needed anything, and sent a thank you after we left. Cottage rules were sent months in advance. Very straightforward and easy to follow.

Outside grounds and inside was immaculate and new. Much nicer than the pictures. High ceilings, spacious bedrooms, huge windows and gorgeous view of the water. Double levels had lots of space for our group of 8. Comfy beds and we slept like babies. We brought our own bedding but did not need it as cottage comes with 2 sets of sheets & towels. Everything was well stocked and easy to find and nicely stored.

Bass Lake is clean, shallow, warm, and no rocks so it was awesome for swimming. Came with the blown up rafts and water toys. Perfect dock. Accommodated all of us on the wood Muskoka chairs. Incredible sunsets. We BBQ'd on the huge upper deck. Chilled on the outside couch with my morning coffee. Went jogging on the nearby trails. No bugs. Lots of activities - 2 canoes, 3 kayaks, 6 bikes, basketball net, big screen TV, and great huge pool table. We were never bored.

Whispering Pines is now our favourite spot - hands down. Our whole group is still talking about our stay and we are super excited as we just re-booked for June. Thank you Cottages in

Dear Carolyn,

We appreciate the time that you took to share such lovely details of your stay with us. We are glad you were able to enjoy the summer sunshine and warm beautiful lake. Your comments highlight some of the best parts of our cottage rental model with our guests, as we want them to know that they are appreciated and vacation time is precious. Nice that you were able to relax, swim, enjoy the activities and go jogging all in the same week! We look forward to welcoming your group again in June, and hope that you will continue to visit us for many years to come.

Cheers,

Stacie at Whispering Pines Cottage

Thank you for your amazing accommodations at your cottage. It definitely lived up to our expectations and went several steps further. The photographs on the site didn't do the home enough justice. What a magnificent home and what a privilege to have stayed in it.

I would recommend this cottage and can't wait to come again!

Dear Christy,

We appreciated the opportunity to have your family at the cottage over the beautiful Labour Day weekend. We have made some improvements and enhancements to the cottage since the photos on this site were posted, so we are glad to hear you enjoyed them! Looking forward to your return this summer, and hoping you will have the opportunity to visit during the fall colours. Wishing your whole family a healthy and happy year ahead.

Cheers,

Stacie at Whispering Pines Cottage

Our family just returned from another beautiful week at Whispering Pines Cottage after a 4th summer in a row. Each stay gets better and better! Our kids love the room with the bunk beds, and we love the largest room downstairs with comfortable big bed. Everyone enjoyed the big screen TV, pool table, and basketball net. The new renovations in the kitchen and bathroom are very high end and my wife was ecstatic to cook with all the necessities nicely stocked, while I mastered the new large BBQ outside. Our favourite features are: its very spacious with a great layout and high ceilings and panoramic views of the lake from inside and from the deck; great shallow entry and easy access to the warm lake with sandy bottom; many activities to choose from: canoe, kayaks, floating tubes, lots of paddles and lifejackets, volleyball, bikes, etc.. So convenient and close to town. Mariposa Market and Country Produce are the favourites! Our day guests loved visiting. Owners Stacie and Family are absolutely fantastic to deal with from beginning to end. Thank you again for having us!

Dear Brad and Family,

Thank you for taking the time to describing your wonderful experience. We are thrilled that your extended family and all of your guests continue to enjoy their stay and the beautiful waterfront at our home year after year. You have hit many of the very special features of our cottage, and the reasons why we feel so lucky that over 80% of our guests keep returning each summer. We appreciate that you stayed at the cottage both before and after complete renovations from top to bottom. You are right - so many conveniences are minutes away such as Walmart, Food Basics, Zehrs, LCBO, Galaxy Cinemas movie theater, but the local family owned Mariposa Market and Country Produce and the Farmers Market continue to be our favourites too ::)

We appreciate hosting such a wonderful family, and we are very happy that you have chosen to return again for the fifth consecutive summer.

Kindest regards,

Stacie at Whispering Pines Cottage
