The Timberlight Cottage is a chalet style cottage, with over 200 feet of sandy frontage on Bay Lake, is the perfect getaway for families and medium sized groups.

The cottage is especially suited for families with kids. Bay Lake is crystal clear and clean. At the shore, the water is shallow, and gets deeper very gradually. The hard-packed sandy bottom is an excellent surface for kids to play and swim. Many guests will settle into one of the Muskoka chairs on the dock while watching the children swim and play in the water!

This new cottage has a rustic feel, but has all of the conveniences of home including a dishwasher, laundry facilities etc. There are three large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a huge great room with dining and living room space, a very large sunny recreation room, laundry room and a beautiful kitchen.

The large deck wraps around the front and side of the cottage; a perfect place to dine, read, or just listen to the call of the loons.

The cottage is equipped with many games. You will have a high quality volleyball net for water-volleyball, a professional bocce court with bocce balls, a foosball table, ping pong table, pool table and many board games for adults and children and plenty of lawn space to play.

With almost 4 acres of forested property to explore, you may see deer, hawks, woodpeckers and many other birds. On the lake you could see loons, ducks and and great blue herons. Bay Lake is known for it's pickerel fishing, but you may also catch bass, pike, perch and even lake trout.

My wife and I were looking to find a cottage to enjoy with our children to get out of the city. We rent a different cottage every year and found this cottage is one we expect to continue to visit every year. We may even try one of Rick's other cottages on the lake as they all look great. The shallow sandy beach entrance was great as it allowed our kids to play in the water while we were able to either watch from the dock as they could walk out very far on their own with the low water level or join in as well. The cottage had great facilities - bedrooms were clean, bathrooms were good with solid water pressure in the shower, kitchen and open concept living area was ideal and the extra games room with a door to keep the noise out was awesome - pool table, ping pong, fooseball, and more...plus a library of movies to enjoy. You never know when renting a cottage how it will really be like until you arrive. In this case it was even better then we could imagine. Perfect for our family of 5. Hope to be back again next year!

We spent a wonderful 4 day weekend at Timberlight paradise on Thanksgiving weekend. The colours in the forest were magnificent. We have rented cottages throughout Ontario and by far, this was our favourite ! The cottage is modern with all the conveniences of home but still maintains a cottage feel to it. It was very clean and everything is well maintained. The wood burning fireplace provided nice ambiance to the fall nights. There is plenty of room for a large family or group of friends. The games room is huge and was a big hit. Rick , the owner was great to deal with. The rental process was easy and efficient. Rick responded to any questions in a timely manner. Highly recommend this cottage.

Very nicely appointed cottage on a calm lake with a mostly-sandy bottom. Good-sized bedrooms, huge windows for appreciating the outdoors from the safety of the indoors, excellent water pressure, and tons of toys in the sandbox for the kids. Make sure to bring some extra fans if it's going to be hot during your stay; the ceiling fans do good work but aren't enough for sunny days when the temperatures go up past 25C. Otherwise pretty much everything you could need to have fun is included except for your bathing suit. The road to the house is paved but for the last 100m or so, which is easy on your car. Neighbours are close by so it's not complete isolation, but the lake is mostly dead quiet. Saw wild turkey, woodpeckers, and even heard a loon in the early morning.
