The Timberlight Cottage is a chalet style cottage, with over 200 feet of sandy frontage on Bay Lake, is the perfect getaway for families and medium sized groups.
The cottage is especially suited for families with kids. Bay Lake is crystal clear and clean. At the shore, the water is shallow, and gets deeper very gradually. The hard-packed sandy bottom is an excellent surface for kids to play and swim. Many guests will settle into one of the Muskoka chairs on the dock while watching the children swim and play in the water!
This new cottage has a rustic feel, but has all of the conveniences of home including a dishwasher, laundry facilities etc. There are three large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a huge great room with dining and living room space, a very large sunny recreation room, laundry room and a beautiful kitchen.
The large deck wraps around the front and side of the cottage; a perfect place to dine, read, or just listen to the call of the loons.
The cottage is equipped with many games. You will have a high quality volleyball net for water-volleyball, a professional bocce court with bocce balls, a foosball table, ping pong table, pool table and many board games for adults and children and plenty of lawn space to play.
With almost 4 acres of forested property to explore, you may see deer, hawks, woodpeckers and many other birds. On the lake you could see loons, ducks and and great blue herons. Bay Lake is known for it's pickerel fishing, but you may also catch bass, pike, perch and even lake trout.
Algonquin Provincial Park can be accessed from Hwy 60, or from two access points on the west side of the park. Each of these access points can be reached in about 45-50 minutes.
Arrowhead Provincial Park is about 15 minutes from the cottage.
Downtown Huntsville is just 20 minutes from the cottage. The beautiful downtown in famous for its interesting shops and restaurants. It's a nice place to spend some time sightseeing and at the same time stock up with supplies and souvenirs.
Novar's Foodland is only 10 minutes from the cottage. At the Foodland you will find a beer store, liquor store and a decent selection of groceries.
Route 95 Snowmobile Trail passes along the west end of the lake and can easily be accessed from the cottage. Route 95 connects with trails that cover most of the province.
Hidden Valley is the local ski hill and is only about 30 minutes from the cottage.

Recreation room includes a Dufferin slate pool table, shuffleboard table, Foosball table and ping-pong table (goes on top of pool table). There's also a crokinole board.
There's a high quality bocce court beside the cottage.
Cellular reception on the Roger's and Bell networks are decent.
