This is the perfect cottage for a large group looking to get away and have total privacy. We have a group of 14 guys that have been going on an annual cottage trip for the last 15 years and this by far has been the best cottage we have every stayed at. The property is fantastic inside and outside. Bedrooms are large and most have their own washroom, the living areas are huge and have great views of the lake. Eamonn (the owner) has the cottage very well stocked, we never had to worry about the little things like paper towels, toilet paper, bedding, etc. Outside is amazing, a very long shoreline with multiple points to access the water including a nice dock, a place to launch your own boat and a really nice firepit with lots of seating. Big Gull Lake is huge and clean and the fishing was good, especially for Bass. Eamonn was always quick to respond if we had any questions throughout the entire rental process, which was the easiest transaction we ever had to do in all our years of renting cottages. We will definitely stay here again in the future and would recommend this cottage to everyone.

What can you say except "extraordinaire". From the time we were greeted by Eamonn, the very helpful and friendly owner, to departing the following Friday our stay was perfect. All the amenities of home in a setting where you get both the sunrise and sunset on a beautiful crystal clear lake in the Canadian Shield. There were 17 of us ranging in age from 4 months to 74 and there was lots of room to gather as a family as well as escape and enjoy the solitude. The road from the main road to access this wonderful property seems to go on forever (watch the few bumps) but the reward is worth every minute. The beds were very comfortable, copious amounts of hot water even for our big crew and the excellent fishing off the point produced a wonderful bass dinner.

Eamonn was a great host who answered all of our questions and was always available. The cottage is clean and definitely big enough to accommodate our group of 3 families (6 adults and 6 older teens); every room had their own washroom on the main and second floors, the two bedrooms in the basement shared one washroom- excellent area for the kids to have their own space, big screen TV down there kept them busy at nights with the DVDs that came with the cottage. The privacy was much better than he even said. There isn't another cottage that's visible from the campfire.
From Eamonn and the other reviews, you'll find that getting in means driving through narrow twisty dirt roads but we still managed to tow a 20' bowrider right into the cottage driveway and launch it from there- so convenient. The drive in isn't as bad as some may have mentioned, totally doable and worth the drive in.
The campfire area in the bay also became the swimming spot for us where we spent most of the days at; anchored the boat a few feet from the rocks and swam back and forth. This bay was also an excellent fishing spot for bass; didn't need to go far for a hot fishing spot. There's a marina that's 5 minutes away for gas, live bait, ice cream and last minute items which was convenient. Great size lake also for water sports, canoeing and kayaking.
From our arrival to find all the beds made up with linens, bathrooms with fresh towels to our departure was an overall excellent time at a cottage!

Great cottage. Stayed here with my family and 2 others. Total of 6 adults and 7 kids under 8 years old. Plenty of room inside for sleeping, lots of bathrooms. Lots of room for hanging out inside if weather is bad, never felt like we were crowded.

Good space outside to play. Nice large porch, plus a grassy area which was good for the kids. A few options for water entry. The main swimming area has a small section that is easier for the little kids, and the primary area is large rocks that can be kind of slippery but really not that bad.

We launched a motor boat from a marina on the other side of the lake, but there is a launch on property you can try.

The cottage is very secluded. You get some great views of the stars at night, and won't be bothered by anyone. (and you won't bother others!)

Eamonn was a great host, very attentive.

We rented this cottage with 17 other family members for our annual "family reunion". This was by far the largest cottage we have ever stayed at. Every family had their own spaces: bedrooms + bathroom. Everything we needed for the week was on site. The furnishings were nice, the beds comfy, the property is well maintained. I agree with all the other reviews that Eamonn is incredibly accommodating and friendly. There is no wifi which the kids didn't like but adults didn't mind. I personally would prefer to have air conditioning but that was in no means a deal breaker for us. One week was not enough time to explore and enjoy the entire property.
