Or visit the ancient forest with a hidden waterfall in the forest and the biggest tree measuring 5m in diameter. This is the only known inland rain-forest, an amazing place to visit with a flaura and fauna stand will make you look in awe.
The Chinook salmon come back to their spawning grounds in the Fraser River, creeks and waterfalls in mid August until the end of the first or second week in September. You can see them close up in creeks or watch them jump up the Rearguard Falls.

| Beautiful setting with superb view of Mica Mountain. Clean, comfortable and well-equipped log cabins with ample parking and plenty of privacy make this an ideal home-from-home to which to return after a day enjoying the numerous activities in the area. There is an abundance of hiking trails, fishing spots and other outdoor activities very close by and only a short drive into nearby Valemount. The owners (Elke & Juergen) are very friendly and accommodating and offer a guided side by side ATV tour which takes you (and your camera) way off the beaten track but in complete safety and with every chance of seeing wildlife (bear, moose, porcupine, etc.).
