Beautiful little Log Cabin secluded in Val des monts, 40 min away from Ottawa. Very private, charming in the winter and in the summer. In front of Lac louise, it has a dock , canoe, paddle boat and 2 sit on kayaks but you CAN'T SWIM directly in front..you need to go into the big part of the lake because my bay is pretty to look at but very weedy and swampy. There is a nice campfire area with adirondak chairs. The Cabin has a wood burning stove, has all what you need to relax! It is very cozy and rustic. Ideal for a romantic gateaway or nature's lovers. The only thing you have to bring is your sheets ( queen size upstairs) and double ( downstairs) and towels... Waterfront: can't swin in front, need to take the paddle boat.. | This is our second time renting this beautiful, cozy cabin and it never disappoints! We enjoyed a relaxing weekend fishing in the canoe and peddle boat provided and got to enjoy a nice bonfire in the evenings. It's very secluded and peaceful. The cabin has a very warm and cozy feel and kept very clean! We look forward to renting again! :)

| We rented this cottage in July of 2022, and it was such an enjoyable experience! A relaxing and comfortable stay. We enjoyed the days spent fishing in the canoe and paddle boat and the evenings by the beautiful fire surrounded by lights. We had lots of privacy and peace & quiet. The cottage was very tidy and comfortable to sleep in. We are already planning on booking another weekend this summer!

| We loved our visit to this cottage! It is very welcoming and charming, and the privacy on the property was great - it felt like an isolated cabin in the woods. We rarely heard or saw anyone else, even on the water, and the kids and dog were free to roam the large property.
The cottage itself is well-equipped and in great condition. The screened-in porch was perfect for evenings and night time to enjoy the outdoors without worrying about mosquitos. The basement got quite damp during the rainy week we were there, but that wasn't a big problem. It was perfect for our family, just be aware there is an open staircase that would not be safe for toddlers.
The view off the dock was lovely, and there is a giant turtle who came by regularly to visit, much to the excitement of our kids. Canoe and paddle boats were provided and put to good use! Fishing rods are also provided and it was easy to catch small fish right off the dock.
One downside is that swimming off the dock is quite weedy (which we were warned about beforehand) so a short canoe paddle is needed to get out to the lake and clearer water - which was fine for swimming.
The owner was friendly, responsive, and helpful.
A great cottage for a secluded family getaway!

| This was a wonderful cabin for a getaway -- we spent a quiet winter weekend reading, snowshoeing and stoking the fire. The cabin is clean, very well maintained and has much of what you'll need. The owner is responsive and very kind and helpful. We'd definitely stay again.
