Unique, hand-crafted Scandinavian log home nestled in a private bay on spectacular Cranberry Lake on the Rideau Lakes System, a UNESCO World Heritage site. 4,000 square feet of living space offers spacious, executive accommodation.

More than 1,000 feet of waterfront and 20 acres of hardwood forest. Superb bass and pike fishing, canoeing, swimming, boating, hiking, and mountain biking. In winter, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and skating on the lake are available.

Picturesque Stafford Bay has a wild and natural shoreline. A beaver lodge can be seen in the bay and you may spot painted turtles, herons, frogs and the iconic Canadian loon among the lily pads. Swimming is wonderful in the warm waters off our private swim platform. A small island dots the bay for children to explore. This family-owned cottage is all about nature.

This is by far the finest cottage I have ever stayed at in the few years that I have lived in Canada! The excellent construction is perfectly complimented every comfort one could even think of: from kitchen appliances to the supplies provided to the furniture. Not once did it feel that we were "roughing it" in any way. Additionally, the folder inside the cottage had instructions for every little detail in and around the place. I would definitely come back here if I have the chance.

We just came back - company of 9 had a New Year 2017 party there. BEAUTIFULL! We are thinking to come back for Thanksgiving. Rustic , clean , scenic . As you step in the cottage, woody aroma inviting you to have a relaxing time, read a book, watch wood burning in the fireplace... Like children we were exploring walls very tastefully decorated by museum like items hanging from the walls all around. Cozy, every bedroom has a nice view , feels very homey

Dislikes: expensive, no hot tab , winter driving might be very hazardous ( up an downs , very steep) .
