Spacious lakefront cottage + hot tub - The Cedar Loft

The access to the lake is via a small sandy area/beach that is shallow enough for a gradual entry. At the end of the dock the lake is deeper but we recommend careful entry due to natural vegetation, rocks and tree stumps. We have an aqua thruster that is on during the summer months to keep the swimming area clear. This region is known for great fishing and boating since we connect to the Trent system - the area is rich in nature and perfect for those who enjoy seeing local species. There is a boat launch 3 minutes away if you are bringing a motor boat during your stay. 

Sunsets are stunning at our place. 

Summer:

There is a canoe, stand up paddleboards, kayaks and a double kayak + paddles/lifejackets ( We have a mixture of sizes available and two puddle jumpers.). We have a mixture of outdoor toys for adults and kids to stay entertained.

Fall/Winter/Spring:

The road is ploughed during winter and we have regular maintenance of the driveway for parking. You may however see snow on deck/paths during heavy snow fall. No outside furniture is provided during Winter - early Spring. Due to the high volume of snow we get at the cottage, we do not remove snow from cottage to lake.

Our dock is seasonal and will be added/removed based on lake temperatures usually around May-October. We cannot guarantee the dates that the dock will be added since these vary every year.

Note ( extra loft unit):

We have a separate loft unit available for when larger families are looking for additional space . We do not rent these places separately to different families. When guests only need the main cottage, our loft will be empty allowing privacy at all times. This option is available at separate cost to offer better rates to smaller groups and still accomodate larger families/groups when needed.
Note our loft is above a garage and therefore there are sets of stairs to access it.

House rules:

- No parties or events are authorized
- Only registered guests to the booking and no daytime visitors. ALL guests (even if for a few hours) must be registered. We have regulations to follow with local municipality, therefore will not accept unregistered guests.
- Unfortunately we cannot accommodate large groups of adults under 25 yo.
- If you are planning to play loud music, this cottage is not for you
- Bring your own linens and towels - duvets and pillows are provided
- Smoking inside the property is NOT permitted. 
- All garbage must be taken with you after your stay. Local dump station located 15 min drive - seasonal hours, only clear bags accepted. $50 disposal fees per bag left behind
- Only 1 dog is allowed - must be registered prior (please inquire if you would like to bring two dogs). No puppies allowed. Dogs must be over 1 year old and house trained. no pets on furniture. Pet fee applicable. You must clean after your pet at all times and they should not go to neighbouring properties.
- Please shower before using the hot tub - If the hot tub requires draining, cleaning, and refilling due to misuse or excessive debris, an additional cleaning fee of $300 will be charged.
- You are expected to leave the property, inside and outside as found. That includes making sure any moved furniture or chairs are back in place, boats property stored and inside in a condition that is respectful given our cleaning crew work on different schedules and won't attend to the property immediately upon check out. We appreciate your help!

Security system:

For safety reasons, we have security cameras outside the property only facing entrances / exit points and a doorbell camera.. Camera inside host private area equipment area to monitor water leakages. For further questions, please contact your host.
