Our Room with a View at Confederation Homestead

Looking for a quiet place to retreat and recharge, or a place where you can create and get work done on your terms? Perhaps you are looking for accommodation while you are working in the Haliburton County region. Our Room with a View at Confederation Homestead is your place. We are offering a delightfully cozy and comfortable efficiency suite with everything you need to live and work, or relax, or a place to crash and recuperate.

We are currently living in this suite while the new addition to our house is being created. We plan to move back into the house in June and are aiming to have this new suite available to rent for the end of June. The pictures show our things in them as we are living in the suite. Once it is ready to accept renters, updated photos, and photos with spring scenery will be uploaded. The suite is in a brand new building, a 3 bay garage (2 bays for cars and 1 for a home workshop), with the suite being on the second floor covering 2/3 of the building. The walls and ceiling between the floors have sound separation with insulation and resilient channel between the joists and plywood cladding.

We have found this to be a delightful and comfortable space in which to live for an extended time. We are aiming this new suite at artists or writers who want a retreat to work on projects, and at people who are in the area working temporarily and need a place to stay.
