Private island in the 1000 Islands

Weekly island rental in the 1000 Islands $1700

Location: south of Gananoque Ontario in the 1000 Islands in Canada.

Windrush Island is a small private island with a 2 bedroom cottage in the 1000 islands Admiralty Group on the Saint Lawrence River.

You get the island to yourself. It is about half an acre on an exposed rock with lots of deck and a nice little cottage. It is windy and there is sometimes big waves out here. This is a great place for swimming and and the fishing is fantastic here.

Glorious on a calm day and Peggy's Cove on rough days. Excellent clean water for swimming. This place is magical.

The details: sleeps 4, 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom. Full grid power so we have a regular kitchen and bathroom (fridge, stove, hot and cold water, coffee maker, microwave, toilet, tub with shower, bbq)

Access by boat only. We do not provide a boat. You will need your own boat to get there, or we can help you arrange a water taxi to get you there and back for $150 return trip.

There is kayaks and paddle boards on the island for you to use, but these are not suitable for transport to and from the island.

There is a 30 foot floating dock on the leeward side of the island. Depth is around 12 feet at the dock.

From the town of Gananoque we are located just south of Blackduck island on the edge of the 40 acres. (That is just east of Mermaid Island).
