AnamCara is a modern, all-season, waterfront home on Lake Huron, Bruce Peninsula - a designated UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. Perfect for fishing, hiking, birding, orchid spotting etc.
Located on a child-friendly sandy beach, the cottage site offers lounging on the beach, swimming, kayaking, bring your own small boating, cycling and spectacular sunsets. It is 15 minutes from the village of Lions Head, Georgian Bay and the world renowned Bruce Trail. It is close to Bruce Peninsula National Park, diving in Tobermory, cliff climbing and the ferry to Manitoulin Island and beyond.
The house is located in the centre of the horseshoe-shaped Hardwick Cove and is one of the few properties with a true sandy beach rather than the rocky shoreline that lines most of the Peninsula. This makes for easy access for boat launching and very safe swimming. If you bring your own boat you can anchor it in direct sight during your stay.
With large windows and French doors all around, two patios, an outdoor shower and a natural butterfly sanctuary, wildflower garden at the front, the property offers spectacular views of Lake Huron, nearby islands and a historic lighthouse. Downstairs, the house is open concept with the wide kitchen/
dining area and island merging into a large living room area with a cathedral ceiling going into a den/TV room at the back which has a pull out sofa. There are pine walls, hardwood and local flagstone floors throughout with underfloor heating for wintertime. There is an open mudroom/ entrance area, a separate laundry area and a large downstairs bathroom with a steam shower. Upstairs there is a large main bedroom with direct view onto the lake and two other bedrooms. There is a large four piece bathroom.
There is fast, Starlink internet and WiFi, a good sound system in the living room and a separate TV area.
