Blue Cottage

If you're looking for quiet, peaceful, and a place to disconnect - you've found it in this spacious, incredibly private and serene space. Launch a boat (the BEST way to experience our property with 40 miles of boating awaiting you) or just a 5 minute boat taxi ($60) from the Ruthven Marine you will find yourself relaxing on the large screened in porch, watching sunsets at the fire pit, catching the sun on the paddle board or kayak, and cozying up with some board games in the evening.

Two bathrooms are both full piece.

The property has a BBQ, fire pit, nice shallow sandy area for swimming, canoe, kayak, SUP, books & board games.
Guests can access all areas of the cottage and use of all outdoor games, and water toys.

*This is a WATER ACCESS ONLY property. It will be your responsibility to book a water taxi from a local marina ($60), rent or launch your own boat as we have plenty of dock space. There is a free boat launch at Avery Beach in Huntsville or you could contact Ruthven Marine to use their launch (free parking)and our property is a 10min boat ride from there. Ruthven Marine has free parking, however no access to a boat slip.
Lake Vernon connects to 3 other lakes for 40 miles of boating and there are public docks in Huntsville (30-60min) boat ride.


*Please be aware this cottage is not acceptable for people with mobility issues as there is a climb up to the cottage. You'll want to pack light or be prepared for a great workout.
