Kabin Anora is a brand-new, four-season boutique cottage, thoughtfully designed for relaxation and connection with nature.
The space comfortably sleeps up to 8 adults, making it perfect for family getaways or close friends looking to unwind.
We kindly ask guests to help us preserve the peaceful atmosphere of Contau Lake by keeping noise to a minimum, especially in the evenings. While the property feels secluded, sound does travel easily over the water. If you're looking for a quiet, restorative escape, you're in the right place. If your group tends to be on the louder side, this might not be the best fit—as we're committed to being thoughtful neighbors in this special community.
Located in Gooderham, Haliburton, Kabin Anora offers incredible privacy. You won't find neighbors directly across the lake—just untouched crown land and forest views, perfect for those craving calm and connection to nature.
Kitchen:
Our beautifully designed kitchen comes fully equipped with all the essentials for preparing delicious meals.
Complimentary coffee, tea, olive oil, and basic spices are provided.
Our custom island/dining table seats 8-9 comfortably.
In-house chef services are available upon request and are highly recommended by our guests.
Step right out from the kitchen onto our spacious deck, where you'll enjoy views of Contau Lake and the surrounding forest. Relax in one of our six Muskoka chairs, stretch out on the loungers, or gather around the large picnic table with seating for up to 10 guests - perfect for outdoor meals or morning coffee. The BBQ is directly connected to our main propane line, so there's no need to worry about tanks running out during your stay.
Living Area:
A rustic stone fireplace anchors the living space, complete with a 65-inch TV and a cozy gas fireplace to keep you warm during cooler months.
The cottage is equipped with Rogers internet and Netflix.
Accommodation:
The cottage comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests across four well-appointed bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms:
Bedroom 1: Primary room with 1 king bed + bathroom ensuite (main level)
Bedroom 2: 1 king bed + bathroom ensuite (upstairs)
Bedroom 3: 1 king bed (downstairs)
Bedroom 4: 1 king bed (downstairs)
Complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are included.
Additional Amenities:
The lower deck is fully covered and waterproof, making it the perfect spot to unwind even on rainy days. You'll find a spacious 7–8 person Wellis hot tub and an 8-person sauna for ultimate relaxation. There's also a 50-inch TV (removed during winter months) and multiple cozy seating areas ideal for lounging, watching a movie, or just soaking in the peaceful surroundings.
Outdoor:
Enjoy our 16x20 floating dock, perfect for fishing or lounging. We provide 4 kayaks, 1 canoe, and 1 child paddle board, along with 8 adult life jackets and 2 children's life jackets.
The swimming here is fantastic - you can jump right in or enjoy a shallow dive straight off the dock. The water depth typically ranges from 6 to 8 feet, depending on the season and rainfall.
Gather around the fire pit, listen to the crackling fire and the call of the loons, and enjoy a night under the stars. We supply unlimited firewood.

Winter access:
We're located just off a municipal road that's maintained year-round by the township, making access easy—even during the winter months. That said, Haliburton is known for its beautiful snowy winters, so we recommend arriving in an AWD or 4x4 vehicle equipped with proper winter tires for a safe and comfortable drive. The driveway does have an incline, so an AWD or 4x4 provides the best accessibility in all conditions.
