Located on the Magnetawan River, at the mouth of Lake Cecebe, the R & R Trail cottage offers both river and lake exposure from the dock area. The river to the East is long and winding, and the lake to the West offers wide expansive views of the water. A short drive from Burks Falls, this waterway offers the best of both river and lake adventures for everyone.
This two-story cottage has four bedrooms and one bathroom. There are two bedrooms on the main level, and two upstairs. Each main level bedroom has one queen sized bed. One bedroom has a window air conditioner, and the second has a large window and view of the deck area.
The upper level third bedroom has a queen-sized bed, side table, and window. The fourth bedroom has a double bed and a set of twin bunkbeds. There is a window air conditioner in this room. Each of the bedroom cupboards are stocked with a wide selection of board games, books, puzzles, and portable fans.
The fully equipped spacious kitchen includes a stainless-steel double door refrigerator, stainless-steel stove, double sink, and microwave. A large assortment of bakeware is available as well as a crockpot and water cooler. A row of lower cabinets and long counter top offer lots of room for meal preparation after a fun day spent on the water. The dining table is located around the corner from the kitchen, and has seating for ten people.
The main floor open concept living room has two large comfortable couches, and a coffee table. Several sets of windows provide plenty of natural light. The sliding glass doors in the family room open to the large deck space.
The large three-piece main floor bathroom has a sink, toilet, and step in shower enclosure. The bathroom also houses the washer and dryer.
On the second level of this cottage find the two other bedrooms, an observation room, and a family room.
The observation room has two wicker chairs, ottoman, and sofa, and make any view from this elevated, well windowed space, enjoyable and pleasant.
In the upper family room, there is a 48” flat screen television, DVD, and VHS player for all to enjoy. Two sofas, a futon, and 3 chairs can accommodate several family members to share time together.
The R & R Trail cottage has a large partially covered deck with a patio table and chairs, and two Muskoka chairs to Relax and Recharge. The propane BBQ located on the deck is hard-wired to propane tanks ready for grilling at any time.
It is a 3–4 minute walk along the curved and cleared trail to the waterway from the cottage. The trail is level and surrounded by natural foliage on both sides. You can not see the dock or water area from the cottage. The wooden shed half way down the trail to the dock holds the water toys and lifejackets. You can enter the water from the shoreline where there is natural vegetation, or off the end of the dock where the water is 6 feet deep. There are several self-propelled water crafts to choose from: two kayaks, one pedal boat, and one rowboat.
Whether on the river or on the lake, R&R Trail cottage is the place to have summer time fun!
