Welcome to Bluewater Cottage, nestled on the beautiful shores of Lake Huron! While I'm new to the Cottages in Canada platform, I've been a Super Host on another rental site for the past five years, so hosting is far from new to me. I'm excited to now open my space to more families looking for a relaxing getaway.
**Location**
Conveniently situated between Bayfield (10 minutes away) and Grand Bend (20 minutes away), the cottage is just steps from a quiet, sandy beach.
This charming second-row cottage is located on a peaceful crescent near the lake. With a spacious front and backyard, complete with a firepit and hammock, your family will have plenty of opportunities for rest and relaxation. The cottage maintains its cozy, classic feel while offering modern updates, making it perfect for any season. It features baseboard heating, an electric fireplace, and portable air conditioners in each bedroom and the open-concept living area to keep you cool during the warmer months. Daily walks along the beach are a must!
Every time I'm here, I get a magical feeling, and I can't wait to share it with your family.
**Living Areas**
Enjoy meals and family time in the bright, eat-in kitchen, fully equipped with everything you need. Whether you're whipping up a family dinner or enjoying board games, it's the heart of the home. Outside, enjoy BBQ meals under bistro lights at the picnic table, shaded by umbrellas, and relax in comfy patio seating.
The living room is the perfect spot to unwind. Cozy up by the electric fireplace and stream your favorite shows with the Firestick.
**Sleeping Spaces**
The cottage comfortably sleeps up to 5 adults, plus one young child:
- Master Bedroom: Queen-sized bed
- Bedroom 2: Queen-sized bed
- Bedroom 3: Twin bed + Pack 'n Play
Bathroom: 3-piece with a tiled shower and tub
**Extras**
- Smart TV with Firestick (log in to your own streaming accounts)
- Outdoor dining with cozy seating
- Six heavy-duty Adirondack chairs around the firepit
- Electric fireplace for added comfort
- Books and board games
**Outdoor Features**
The large fenced in backyard offers lots of space for kids to play and for lawn games. There are quiet areas for reading or napping, especially in the hammock tucked away under the trees.
Fire up the propane BBQ (with bistro lights and a backup tank) and enjoy meals on the sunny south-facing deck or escape the sun in the shaded hammock area.
End the day around the firepit with s'mores, storytelling, and stargazing.
**Beach Access**
The beach is fabulous! Access is just three doors west of the cottage (approx. 40 steps down) on a private walkway that is shared path for the cottages on the crescent. The lakebed varies from sandy to stony depending on the day, perfect for searching for ever-changing sandbars or collecting stones. I recommend water shoes for added comfort. The shoreline is generally free of weeds and muck.
The beach is shared with the crescent's local residents. Please be mindful of the *Private Beach* signs, as some areas belong to lakefront property owners.
