Located on the Rideau Lake system, Loon Lake is the least travelled of the lakes and provides a quiet and tranquil escape. Great fishing, including off the dock, with lots of bays and shorelines to explore.

The Lily Pad on Loon Lake is a privately owned family cottage open to rent throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall. Set on the side of a hill, the cottage is situated on approximately 3 acres of untouched nature, over 600 feet of waterfront -- adventure awaits.

This 2 bedroom, plus Bunkie, cottage sleeps up to 8 guests. It provides ample space to find solitude while also hosting great gathering spaces, a hot tub, canoe, kayak and paddle board, along with a BBQ, grill and smoker.

We, a family of 3, stayed at the Lilly Pad on Loon Lake the week of July 19-26, 2026. We found the cottage exceeded our expectations in what was on offer. We were spoiled for choice for a comfortable place to relax. The outdoor furnishings were beautifully maintained. The boats are quality brands and were comfortable to use. Inside the cottage had many blankets and soft places to land. The cottage was all on one level so we were able to spend a lot of time together.

There is a treetop patio where I spent many an hour knitting and listening to books, what a joy.

Our 17 year old had his own space in the bunk house and he really loved the hammocks down by the water.

There are stairs to the waterfront . My 80 year old folks came for a visit and were good getting to and from the waterfront. They both commented how easy the stairs to climb.

What really impressed us was the quiet and wildlife in the area. The loons sang to us all week. A doe and her fawn swam over to us from the island across the way. Just wonderful. I recommend bringing water shoes, they were helpful for getting in and out of the water. The Hot tub was a highlight for us. Going from the lake to sitting in the sun in the hot tub was great fun.

If you have never visited the area, there are some cool locks to check out, particularly the narrows. There are geocaches in the area too that were fun to check out.

All in all, a wonderful stay. Thank you Heidi and Frank!

A cozy retreat. The calming atmosphere gave me a much needed reset. The main cottage was a great size with a lot of room, cozy bedrooms, woodstove, and lovely sunroom. The kitchen and dining room were great for us to prep and serve our meals witth ease. The firepit was a nice place to spend evenings, and the gazebo and seating by the water was very relaxing. The hosts were very warm and responsive. I hope to be back again soon!

A perfect stay. The drive into the cottage was beautiful and got me ready for what was to come. Arrived to a beautiful fully equipped cottage. I stayed with 5 ladies for a girls weekend and it was perfectly spacious for all of us. I loved that it had all the amenities that you would want but still feels like a cottage. Super clean and the decor was really cute and comfy. My favourites were the outdoor fire pit area in the evenings and my coffee while enjoying the hot tub in the morning. The view of the lakefront on the deck was magical. I was there in the fall so I really enjoyed the fall colours and indoor wood stove. They had tons of lake toys like kayaks and paddle boards. A couple ladies stayed in the bunkie which was perfect and felt like an extension of the main cottage. Can't wait to visit again this summer when I can enjoy the beautiful lake and waterfront. Highly recommend and thanks to the hosts for going above and beyond to make our girls weekend a hit. We'll be back.

Our memories of the Lily pad are now going to be an annual retreat. We spent our days on the kayaks and water boards. Reading our books on the hammocks. Sunrises and sunsets with a perfect view up at the cottage. We ate all of our meals outside under the canopy. The kitchen was so convenient. Just like cooking at home. And evenings with s'mores at the bonfire. The beds are super comfortable. Everything we could've wanted we had. I highly recommended it. But I hear the last week of August is terrible so please don't try and rent that week.
