Welcome to The Getaway Cottage on Tallan Lake in Apsley. Keeping up the "Cottage" feel, this cozy 3 bed, 1 bath cottage sits on the water's edge with a wide open view. Pets are welcome! The Getaway is tailored to Families with Kids!
It is approximately 2 hours from Toronto, 3 hours from Ottawa and 2.5 hours from Kingston.

The Getaway, is quaint, cozy and clean. It has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The capacity is 6 to 8 people.

The Kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, utensils spices and all cleaning supplies. The dishwasher and 2 separate sinks make cleaning up after meals easy and there is plenty of pantry storage for your groceries. The Kitchen is open to the living room with a breakfast bar and both have spectacular lake views. The BBQ is near the waterfront as well.
The cottage is situated on 2.5 acres and sits on the water's edge. With 250 feet of waterfront, you have privacy and have an open unobstructed view of the water. Upon arrival, you pull into the driveway on the upper level. Take 20 steps down to the cottage at lake level. There is a level grass area for games and two fire pits. Steps away from the cottage is a 20x18 floating dock with southern exposure to enjoy all day sun. This will be your favorite spot! The lakeside of the cottage boasts a new deck with glass railings, a pair of Muskoka chairs and a table for dining al fresco.
Tallan is classified as a sanctuary lake and is located deep in a forest. Small mouth bass and Lake trout are the main species for fishing; however, perch and large mouth bass have also been seen. The 90-foot depths of Tallan is perfect for the Lake trout to thrive. Some have scuba dived here! The water quality is top notch for swimming and beauty. Off the dock it is 20 feet of clean, clear, weed free swimming. There is a shallow sandy wading area as well.
It's a small spring fed lake approximately 45.8-hectars. Take in the glass water every morning and night at the very least. With only 20 cottages and/or homes on Tallan, you will feel like you are on a private lake.

What's in Aspley?
The Town of Apsley is 10 minutes away and has many essentials: A brand new grocery store "Sayers", LCBO, Pharmacy, Library, Ice Cream Shoppe, Home Hardware, Gift Shoppes and Hunters convenience.
The Gut Conservation Area is about 11 km East of Apsley. It is a 162-hectare conservation area known as The Gut. It's a rugged gorge where the Crowe River has forced its way through 30 meters of Precambrian rock. A great place to hike.
Marvel Rapids Golf Course is minutes from the Cottage. Just off the main cottage road Clydesdale on Jeff Road. Situated on 264 acres of rolling meadows and mature woodlands this beautiful course provides variety and challenge in each of its nine holes.
