Perched on a tranquil peninsula, this well-kept haven is thoughtfully equipped to make your stay enjoyable. With our experience in hosting guests since 2017, as reflected in our Facebook reviews from both previous and returning guests, your comfort is our priority.
Inside the cottage, you'll discover a well-designed layout with the bedrooms and bathroom tucked at one end, while the open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area opens onto a spacious deck overlooking the lake. A wall of expansive picture windows spans the length of the cottage, offering beautiful treetop vistas of the lake. Adjacent to this, a dining area with vaulted ceilings and another wall of windows creates a bright, airy space, ideal for family gatherings and relaxation.
Start your mornings on the deck, savoring a cup of coffee as the sun rises over the tranquil lake. The mornings on the lake are remarkably calm, making it perfect for canoeing and kayaking. Our weed-free waterfront on this spring-fed lake ensures a fantastic swimming experience, and the fishing opportunities are abundant, with Trout, Walleye, Bass, Perch, and Pike at your fingertips. The lakeside deck and dock enjoy sun from early morning to late afternoon, where you can bask in the sun's warmth or find shade beneath the deck's umbrella while you dive into your favorite book.
Nature enthusiasts can relish scenic walks, runs, or bike rides along the peaceful country roads right at your doorstep. Alternatively, embark on a day trip to the nearby Mikisew Provincial Park, complete with three pristine beaches, and enjoy a picnic amid the natural beauty. Golf enthusiasts can tee off quickly at the nearby Eagle Lake Golf Course, just under 3 km from the cottage.
A mere 5-minute drive from Eagle's Edge Cottage will take you to the delightful Eagle Lake "Narrows," where you can enjoy a fantastic public beach and playground. Before returning to your cozy retreat, make a pitstop at the Country Store near by, where you can greet the welcoming proprietors, Fred and Jill. Here, indulge in delectable homemade burgers or pizza and savor all-natural Kawartha Lakes ice cream.
