The 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom cottage is tucked deep in the forest overlooking a quiet lake and is situated on 1.6 acres with 200ft of shoreline. This gorgeous private forest setting, just over 2 hours from the GTA is perfect for a family getaway! Skelwood Kabin is located on a beautiful quiet lake (no motorboats allowed) in a very private forest setting. This is a place for relaxation, no parties. If you are a loud group this place isn't for you. The layout accommodates 8 adults max This brand new beautiful log cottage features an open living space with high vaulted ceilings and a full wall of windows over looking the forest. Our large rustic stone fireplace hosts a 55 inch TV and a gas fireplace to keep you warm in the cooler months. We have a newly installed fully automatic GENERATOR that will power the entire cottage during any storms/ power outages.
We have great STARLINK internet, Netflix and Disney plus.
The gorgeous kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need to cook a delicious meal. Coffee, tea, olive oil and basic spices are complimentary.
*In house chef services available upon request! Our chef is a huge hit with our guests!
Our 4 bedrooms sleep 8 comfortably. All bed linens and bath towels are provided with compliments.

There are 2 full bathrooms, and 1 half bath. There is also an outdoor shower located in the lower patio area (closed during winter). Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are complimentary.
We have a large beautiful covered porch that can be enjoyed all day, all night, rain or shine! Bottom deck is fully covered keeping you dry during the rainy days.
Walk down the path to our beautiful quiet lake. Enjoy the sun from noon until sunset on our 14x20 floating dock. There is great fishing right from the dock! We have for you to use 2 single kayaks and 2 canoes. 8 adult life jackets are provided, and 1 child life jacket.
*It is shallow around our dock (ranges from 3ft-5ft), no diving allowed. The swimming is fantastic! Gets really deep within a few feet from the dock.
Enjoy the sauna and hot tub, then cool off using the outdoor shower while watching the sunset (outdoor shower is off during the winter). Take a nap in our hammock and sway with the breeze. Step down to the fire pit area, listen to the fire crackle and the loons sing while gazing at the stars.
*WINTER*
You MUST have AWD/4x4 with good winter tires to access cottage in the winter.
The lake freezes over in late January (depends on temp) which makes for beautiful walks/snowshoeing (We cannot guarantee any ice is safe to walk on, at any time. Do so at your own risk)
Bring a blanket and your mulled wine to the outdoor fire pit. Cozy up to our indoor gas fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa and play your favourite board games!
There are many amazing restaurants that are open year round that are close by!

Other things to note:
We are located in a beautiful natural forest environment surrounded by wildlife. Please note that our property is regularly treated for pests and insects in the home. However, please understand we share this world with them and sometimes they don't understand they belong outside. We cannot guarantee 100% absence during your stay.
We are located on an unassumed road which is plowed during the colder months. It has a steep hill and 4WD is required in the winter. Although the road is plowed, winter conditions are uncertain and it's possible the roads can be icy. We caution guests to drive slow, and must be comfortable, equipped and acknowledge the inherent risks in the winter environment. We cannot be held liable for any difficulties on the roads or towing fees.
No boats or snowmobiles allowed
All garbage and recycling must be taken with you on departure. There is no garbage pick up in our area. Landfill information is provided with a pass. If you are unable to take with you we can arrange for garbage removal for additional fee.
Your dog MUST be well house trained and over 1 years old. Maximum 2 dogs. No puppies allowed. Dogs are not allowed to be unattended in the cottage. If you are planning to leave your dog at any time please bring a crate.

| Having stayed at many cottages over the years. I must say that this one is particularly unique and so beautiful!! From the winding hilly remote drive , you know you're finding something very special at the end of the road. You arrive at this very fairy-tale like exterior wooden log cabin nestled amount the high mature trees. It truly is a site to see. As you enter the doors you are warmly welcomed into the ever-so tasteful rustic meets modern design that flows through the cottage. With upscale bathroom and kitchen amenities - to oversize rustic antlers over the games table - and also an oversize hammock canopy that if you read or take a nap on - you may think this place is all a dream. But it's not! Skelwood is definitely a place to see and visit. Thank you Cassidy for this beautiful oasis you have all designed - we enjoyed every minute.
Ps. The sauna, hot tub ,fire pit and quaint town near by were bonuses as well!

| My family and I built beautiful memories at this cottage - it was exactly what we were looking for. There is so much we enjoyed but here are the top three things.1- The nature and beauty surrounding us was breathtaking. I was in awe every morning at the stillness and beauty of the lake not to mention enjoying the scenery from the outdoor hot tub. 2- the kitchen is fully equipped and we prepared delicious meals as a family. 3- the kids were never bored! There are plenty of board games and books to explore - the kids loved reading on the top floor hammock. It was so unique and special. Bonus is that this cottage is sparkling clean. I honestly could not have asked for a better stay. Thank you Cassidy and team!

| This cottage and property exceeds expectations. The home is beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout. The view is stunning and the lake is a tranquil haven. We had glorious weather and spent every day down on the dock either swimming or in the canoe/kayak. While tucked away with plenty of privacy, the cottage is just a 20 minute drive to groceries, pharmacy, hospital etc. Communication with Cassidy was pleasant, easy and timely. We have stayed at many homes and cottages over the years, this by far was our best experience yet. Well worth it and we would highly recommend. Thanks for the lovely stay!

| We just finished a stay at Skelwood Kabin and we know we will be back! The owners have thought of everything, and then some! The cottage is stunning, decor both comforting but also upscale, and impeccably clean. All the comforts of home are provided (linens, towels, toiletries, cooking basics). They even had the most thoughtful welcome gift: wine us, s'mores kit for our kids and even dog treats for our pup!
This is without question the most beautiful cottage we have ever been to, inside and out. The lake is gorgeous, the views from the cottage are amazing and the quiet is unreal. Was the most relaxing place to refuel and reenergize. We will be back for sure!!
