Welcome to the Moody Moose Cottage! Located in the beautifully scenic area of Kaszuby, ON. This cottage is located on Long Lake (Halfway Lake) with over 200ft of water frontage which boasts sandy shores and warm waters. Come and enjoy the best summer has to offer! Available for rent for the first time, this newly renovated cottage has two bedrooms, one bathroom and features custom log furniture. The primary bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom offers a twin over twin bunk bed. After a fun day outside, clean up and relax in our spacious bathroom that has a full-sized tub/ shower.
The bunkie offers additional space, it has a twin over double bunk bed and plenty of floor space for a blow up mattress.
The kitchen is fully equipped and offers plenty of counter space. There is a large dining table with room for everyone to gather for dinner or board games. Items the kitchen includes are: dishes, cutlery, drinking glass, mugs, toaster, kettle, French press, pots and pans, baking sheets and waffle maker. We do advise to bring your own drinking water.
The shallow, sandy beach is perfect for all swimmer types to enjoy. Relax on the dock or fish for the many variety of fish the lake offers. Outside offers an open area for kids to play. There is also a large fire pit, please follow fire restrictions. Get out on the lake with the canoe or pedal boat.
Equipped with Starlink internet/ Wi-Fi.
Rentals are from Saturday to Saturday during July to August. May to June and September to October can be rented weekly, partial week or weekends. Last minute weekends or partial weeks available during peak season.
July to August Rates:
Weekly- $2,000.00
Weekend- $700.00
May-June, September-October:
Weekly- $1,700.00
Weekend/partial week-$250.00/night
We do not include linens (bedding or towels) or pillows, please remember to pack your own.
We do not include use of the motor boat with rentals.
If you are looking for larger accommodations, the cottage next to us is also available for rent. You are able to walk between the properties. Send us a message for details!

| What a wonderful stay! Lovely, spotless cottage and a bunky if you need more space. The lake has a sandy, shallow entrance and no grass. Just a few steps from the cottage, you will find Thomas Murray recreational area with many trails, lakes and a lookout. Algonquin park, Bonnechere caves, heritage village (Wilno) and many rock and mineral hounding sites nearby. The owner was very helpful with all our enquiries. Thank you so much!

| The location of the cottage is magical, right on the lake and the water was fantastic to swim and paddleboard in. The cabin itself is very charming, with the log furniture being a nice special nature touch. Bailey has been very pleasant to work with, and she responded quickly to our last minute booking. We definitely will come back to this cottage and book for a longer stay next time!
