Our completely renovated 900+ sq ft reimagined 3bdrm cottage with complete bunkie is located only 2 hours from Toronto (45 mins coming from Peterborough and 14 mins from Bobcaygeon). Nestled among acres of woodlands this year-round cottage is set up for your weekend getaway or change of scenery for virtual work. The privacy and serenity of this property are unparalleled! The cottage comfortably sleeps (4-8 guests) in three spacious bedrooms and an additional bunkie across the main cottage. Our full bathroom and shower will make you feel as though you have stepped into a mini-spa retreat. Designed with a modern boho style at heart, this cottage is set up for your escape in the woods with all the modern amenities that you love. The entire property has been carefully curated to appease the eye and calm the senses. The first thing you will notice about the space is how bright, open and airy it feels when you are walking in. Contemporary furniture with warm wood tones makes the space feel moody and luxurious, all the while maintaining that homey cabin feeling we all crave in our cottage adventures. Groceries, LCBO, shoppers, and restaurants are a convenient 15-minute drive away in the town of Bobcaygeon or Buckhorn.

During the warmer months, guests can enjoy relaxing kayak rides around the bay or on Little Bald Lake.
During the colder months, guests unwind in our brand-new Edison hot tub with jets and lights and admire the snowfall right on the trees and river.
In the evenings, campfires can be enjoyed right by the firepit at the water's edge. Make yourself cozy in our bunkie where there is a ?rainbow library? which houses a wide selection of over 60 books including the entire Harry Potter series, trending books from social media, and many of the 2022 New York Times best-sellers from various categories.

As cottage goers ourselves, there is nothing more annoying than having to bring one's own linens to a cottage that is supposed to be ?your complete escape?.
At River Paradise, we are proud to provide all linens, pillowcases, and bedding for you and yours during your stay.
Our cottage comes equipped with a brand NEW washer and dryer in one of the bedrooms so that you can always keep your stuff clean as you choose.
All you have to do is bring yourself and your guests, and you are good to go. Actually a "complete escape" ;)
Furthermore, our wide and open deck area has stunning views of the water and surrounding forest area, a perfect location to enjoy a coffee and book in the morning or catch the incredible sunsets in the evening.
We provide a broad selection of board games at the cottage as well as the ability to be quiet and take much-needed time for yourself.
The cottage is located off a paved road with a small hilly driveway. Although the road is plowed during the winter months, winter conditions can be variable and access roads into the cottage will require all-wheel drive and snow tires in poor conditions.

| ????? Loved our stay at River Paradise Cottage!
We had such a great time here. The cottage was super comfy and had everything we needed—even the kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots, pans, and dishes, so cooking was a breeze. Laundry machines were new and super handy too.
We especially loved chilling on the sectional in the living room—it's seriously the perfect reading spot. The bunkie was adorable and cozy, though it did get a bit warm, so bringing a fan is a good idea.
Location-wise, it's awesome! Close to cute towns like Buckhorn, Bobcaygeon, and Lakefield. Highly recommend checking out Bigley's if you're into shoes, grabbing some Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream (so good!), a latte from Bikini Beans Café, and chocolate from The Chocolate Rabbit.
Jay, the host, was amazing—super quick to respond and gave us all the info we needed. The check-in and check-out were super smooth thanks to the guide, videos, and signs around the place.
Best part Paddle boarding on Little Bald Lake at sunset. Unreal.

| My husband and I had an amazing time at jays beautiful getaway retreat! The cottage itself is incredibly comfortable as well as super cute with everything that you need! The hot tub over looking the river is amazing. It is so peaceful and quiet there we would have liked to stay for the whole summer:) kayaking on the beautiful river and out into the lake was wonderful! We saw some beautiful cranes flying in and landing in the water as well as many ducks and a few turtles! We look forwarding to going back again and seeing how beautiful it will be there in the fall! We highly recommend this little gem as a quiet peaceful getaway. Thank you Jay and Morgan for reaching out during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed!

| We stayed at River Paradise for a few days in April to celebrate my 60th birthday. Cottage was very well equipped and comfortable. Despite not great weather we were able to enjoy a great bonfire and the hot tub was a fantastic way to relax and unwind. The scenery is really gorgeous and the cottage had alot of privacy.
