Beautiful newly built ( 2021) 2300 square foot 2 storey cottage on Lake Scugog. This is a 5 bedroom, 3 full bath cottage that sleeps 10 to 12 people. The master bedroom has a queen bed, equipped with a crib and change table, bedroom 2 and bedroom 3 has queen beds, bedroom 4 has double bed and bedroom 5 has bunk beds ( single on top and double on bottom). There is also a sofa bed with pull out single bed. Cottage is on 75 feet of waterfront with a private sand beach with sand toys for you to use. Cottage has plenty of room for badminton and outdoor games. We have a new canoe, 2 new paddleboards new paddleboat for your use. We have some life jackets, but STRONGLY recommend that you bring your own. The lake is great for swimming and fishing. At the end of the dock, jump into 3 feet of water, than on your left 100 feet is a sandbar that is 1 foot in depth and about the size of a tennis court. Put a lawn chair out, play volleyball in the water. It will drop as you leave the Bay area. Spend hours outside playing games, in the water, or sit back and enjoy the view. For those who enjoy fishing, Lake Scugog is known for great fishing. There you can find bass, crappie and big musky. You can easily fish right off the dock. There is a boat launch about 1 minute away off of HWY 57 so you are free to dock your boat at the cottage. Please be aware that around the dock, the water is very shallow. WATER SHOES are strongly recommended. The cottage is equipped with a air hockey table, foosball table other games ( board games and puzzles) will be available for your use. If you would like to go out an enjoy a round of golf, there is a 18 hole course called " Wolf Run" just 1 minute away. There is also a variety store few minutes away where you can enjoy take out as well as your basic needs. The cottage is 20 minutes from Lindsay and 20 minutes from Port Perry.
At the end of the day, enjoy a firepit with 5 Muskota chairs to enjoy ( firewood will be available). There is an outdoor portable fire pit on the deck as well as a natural one on the property to roast marshmallows and enjoy.

The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen that includes fridge, gas stove/ oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and Nespresso Vertuo machine ( please bring your own pods) Tupperware and all dishes and cutlery are available. Bakeware also included.
The interior cottage water is fully treated and has reverse osmosis coming from the fridge.
There is also an outdoor kitchen equipped with a fridge, sink and burners as well as a pizza oven. Firewood will be available for the pizza oven.
We will provide 1 dishcloth, some dish towels to use during your stay. Dish soap, handsoap and dishwasher tablets will be available. There will be no food, spices, condiments, foil, zip lock bags or plastic wrap provided. All mattresses have a freshley cleaned mattress protector that MUST be used. You are responsible for bringing linens, blankets, pillows, towels ( bath and beach), hand towels, toliet paper, all toiletries and garbage bags.
The cottage has a fireplace ( new) and a private balcony between the bedrooms.

There is a new water table for toddlers to enjoy. There is a small bar fridge in the shed to use for drinks.
On the deck you will find 4 new lounge chairs and a eating table plus gazebo.
In addition to the cottage rental fee, there is a $200 cleaning fee and a $1000 security deposit which must be provided at least 30 days before your arrival and will be returned within 7 days of your departure when evidence of smoking, damage and cleanliness has been assessed. Renters will be responsible to ensure all garbage in the cottage and property has been collected and bagged. Place put garbage bags on the side of the cottage near the recycle bins.
Recycle is collected every Wednesday and Garbage collected every other Wednesday for your convenience.
We are only booking weekly rentals from Friday to Friday starting September 2023. Arrival will be at 5pm Friday and departure will be by 11 am Friday ( These times are sometimes negotiable, but dates must be Friday to Friday. Minimal stay is 7 nights in high demand season.
Note* This is our personal family cottage and we are only looking to rent to responsible families and adults. We have a NO PARTY policy and if we hear that the cottage is being used to host parties or if we get a complaint from our neighbours regarding excessive noise, we reserve the right to have you and your group leave the cottage with no refund. We want you to enjoy our beautiful family cottage and treat it as if it was your own. A Waiver and Release form must be signed in order to finalize your booking. On the Waiver and Release form, we also require the names of the people who will be staying at the cottage. Only the people listed on the Waiver and Release form are to be on the property. This includes day and overnight guests. If you would like to add somebody to the list, we MUST be notified in advance. Pets are NOT permitted.
To ensure the safety of our future guests, we are not able to accept your reservation if you have experienced any of the following within 14 days of your reservations arrival date:
- if you traveled outside of Canada
-you have been in direct contact with anyone confirmed or probable case of COVID-19

| Just enjoyed this beautiful property last week and we are very happy with our stay.
The house is beautiful and very functional for our family. We had a couple of rainy afternoons and the large living space was lovely for playing games and cooking up great snacks.
The outdoor cooking area was really great. We made pizzas and barbecued with ease.
The lawn and back deck were very nice for a couple of toddlers to play safely.
Thank you to the McGee's for a wonderful vacation.

| This cottage had everything we needed for our families. 6 adults and 4 children under 6. It is extremely well stocked inside and out. We used the canoe, paddle boat, paddle boards, fire pit, fire table, played all sorts of games on the flat large grass yard and of course the kids played so much in the sandy beach area. We were able to walk and play in a huge sandbar area of the lake which makes it safe for the young ones. The outdoor kitchen is amazing. Extra fridges outdoor in shed was a huge plus for drinks. The house is big with nothing missing. We did not feel crowded at all. Communication with owners Chris and Jocelyn was always prompt and courteous. 10 stars.

| What a fantastic stay we had at this cottage.
We're 2 families: 4 adults, 3 kids. We've rented 10+ times at various locations around Ontario and can honestly say that this is among the best places we've ever stayed. Layout is so well suited to a comfortable stay and getting people together. Indoor eating, cooking and lounging, outdoor eating, cooking and lounging, gas fire pit, campfire, beach, dock, or sandbar out in the water... everything is so well suited to being together, cooking together, eating together, playing together.
We did it all! Swimming, fishing, paddle boarding, canoeing, fires, backyard games, board games, card games, golf, all kinds of great meals, most prepared using the incredible outdoor kitchen they had.
All the comforts of home with AC, WiFi, and streaming services (the last of which we rarely used, since we were there to be active and be away from screens).
The lake itself isn't going to be like the clear Muskoka lakes, but you gain proximity to Toronto, proximity to towns for grocery or restaurants, and proximity to golf, with Wolf Run offering a very decent 18 for a very good price.
Looking for a great cottage, with lots of comfort, and an easy drive Can't recommend the Ritz enough. Great place with wonderful owners.

| Our family loved this cottage! Beautiful, clean and well kept. We didn't have the best weather while we stayed here, yet there was still a lot to do and we made use of the covered balcony and the great living space. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, we had a wonderful time. Jocelyn and Chris were so great to deal with- really responsive and awesome people! Thank you both for the hospitality!

| We had a great time on Lake Scugog at the Ritz Retreat. The cottage is beautiful, there was lots to do for the kids in the family and lots of space to be indoors or outdoors. Great family room, lots of space to play with young kids. The small landscaped sandy beach is clean and the sand is a nice spot for playing, the shallow water is great for everyone to play in. Watershoes were definitely helpful. The deck was great, the big BBQ at the back helped us make several meals. Really has everything you need, we missed the laundry but if you plan ahead and bring enough linen and clothes you will be fine. The beds were comfortable and lots of space for the 9 of us who were there. We needed a crib and that was a bonus to have there too.
