Welcome to our cozy vacation home, Cottage on the Cove. If you're looking for an incredible seaside getaway, then look no further! Our comfortable and very well equipped 4-bedroom vacation home, on the incredibly popular South Shore, is the place for you.
Enjoy the best of both worlds... the calm and tranquility of the LaHave River flowing into the Atlantic ocean, as well as the many activities and services nearby. We are perfectly situated on 1.5 acres, including waterfront and offer a peaceful setting to relax and enjoy the best of Nova Scotia. Drink your morning coffee from our dock, read a book, take a paddle on the river and enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets. We are just a 6 min drive from Bridgewater for groceries, banks, hardware, restaurants, pub, pharmacy and liquor store. The protected warm waters of the river are great for kayaking, fishing and watercraft activities. From the cottage, you're only 10 mins to the famous LaHave Bakery and 20 mins to several spectacular beaches, including Crescent, a drive-on beach and Rissers beach, our largest lifeguarded family friendly beach. Take the LaHave ferry to visit Lunenburg, a UNESCO world heritage site, go hiking at Gaff Point or surfing at Hirtle's beach. We're a great jumping off point to Mahone Bay, Chester, Petite Riviere, Peggys Cove and of course Halifax or even Digby and the Annapolis Valley.
Our cottage boasts some of the best amenities you'll find with a full kitchen appliances, every utensil you could ever need, quality cookware, bakeware, mixer, mixing bowls, dishware, bbq, lobster pot and tools and beach equipment, including a wagon and a cooler! There's lots of space for everyone to be comfortable, including a TV room with a large comfy sectional couch and access to Netflix and Disney+. There's also a living room and a gorgeous sunroom looking out at the water. Our bedrooms are equipped for your comfort in mind, with lots of pillows and all linens and towels provided. We even have a pack and play, bed rails and a baby gate for your little human, no need to travel with your own!
