Nestled among the trees, this beautiful, newly renovated waterfront cottage has trails which lead to its own beach on Lake Sheldrake, a small and tranquil lake. Perfect for those yearning for some R&R, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. This beautiful, modern cabin is situated on just under an acre of breathtaking forests, rock formations, including a gorgeous 30 foot cliff and lake frontage with a natural 150 foot shoreline. Conveniently located in the Land O'Lakes, it is a 20 minute drive from all your necessities in the town of Northbrook (grocery store, bank, gas station, pharmacy, LCBO and the Beer Store.) A 20 minute drive North will lead you to the magnificent Bon Echo Provincial Park with an outdoor outfitter and ice cream shop nearby. Barefoot Cabin is approximately 3 hours from Toronto and 2 hours from Ottawa. The location is a beautiful, fully renovated studio-style cabin. Its open concept allows almost every space to have a gorgeous view of the lake. The cabin sleeps 2 comfortably and boasts a fully equipped, open concept kitchen and a spacious bathroom. Amenities and Equipment Interior - Fully-equipped kitchen - Queen bed facing a large picture window with lakeside views. Thoughtfully designed so you can wake up to a beautiful view of the forest and lake while sipping your morning coffee and listening to the choir of birds.

| I rented Barefoot Cabin for a week as a much needed rest from a busy career and being a single mom of two great kids. It was the best week I have had in years. A truly restorative, peaceful and relaxing setting. Everything was perfect, clean, beautifully designed with quality furnishings and fittings. Even the weather cooperated with warm sunny skies for 5 of my 6 days at the cabin, allowing for swimming and several canoe explorations around the lake. Bon Echo provincial park was only 20 minutes away by car which I also took advantage of.
I had some trouble connecting to my cell service from time to time which was my only concern. But no internet has its advantages too!
Thank you to David and Joanna for being such wonderful and thoughtful hosts. I hope to return next year.

| My wife and I stayed in the Barefoot Cabin for the labor day weekend and had a really amazing time. The cabin is small and cozy and prefect for a get away from your everyday routine. The cabin was beautifully decorated and clean when we arrived. The walk down to the cabin is a bit steep so be mindful of that when booking if you have mobility issues. Everything was perfect and the only complaint we had was the lack of WiFi but it gave us a chance to be off-the-grid and spend some well needed quality time together. Be sure to bring entertainment with you such as board games and downloaded movies. We will definitely be back to Barefoot Cabin in the future!

| We had an absolutely wonderful experience at David and Joanna's Cabin. In fact this is our second time booking it. The cozy atmosphere, picturesque surroundings, and well-maintained amenities made for a perfect getaway. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and responsive, ensuring that our stay was comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the peacefulness of the location, as it provided a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We can't wait to return and create more cherished memories.

| What a beautiful cottage from the inside to outside.
It is nicely decorated , cozy ,clean ! We had a great stay from exploring the lake with the canoe provided, spending a day over on one of the private islands.Hours of fishing on a lake that didn't disappoint!! To night time campfires under the star .So beautiful .The views are spectacular from all the windows, so pretty! The owners were wonderful to deal with, not that we had any issues . It was truly a nice relaxing beautiful place to be for the week . Thanks again .Definitely will be back !!
