We are excited to share with you our Family Friendly Cottage in Southcott Pines Grand Bend. Welcome to Triple Pines where you can relax in our quiet year round cottage (home) tucked amongst the woods on a quiet court in Southcott Pines, Grand Bend. Summer, Fall, Winter or Spring Triple Pines has it all. The summer provides hot sunny days on private Sun Beach along the shores of Lake Huron, while the Fall gives lots of bright vibrant colors and enjoyment of long walks on the many winding roads and trails. Winter is another great time of year with lots of outdoor fun to be had; like shoe shoeing and cross country skiing. Triple Pines makes a great FAMILY VACATION, WORK RETREAT, ROMANTIC GET-A-WAY, or just a simple relaxing WEEKEND GET-A-WAY in any season of the year. We look forward to hosting you and your family or group!
You can enjoy listening to the soothing sounds of the water relaxing at the beach or spend a day at one of the many local area attractions that Grand Bend has to offer. With attractions such as the Pinery Provincial Park (ski, snowshoe, paddle board, canoe or walk the many trails) Lambton Museum, the many surrounding golf courses, live theater at the Huron Country Playhouse, enjoy a movie at the Starlite Drive-in, visit the motorplex for some racing action, parasailing, jet ski, charter a fishing boat, art galleries, the flea market, just to name a few. You may also want to book a tour of the many local wineries, breweries and distilleries or take a helicopter ride. At the end of the day enjoy a fire in the outdoor fire pit, or curl up inside with your feet up nestled next to the gas fireplace.
Our cottage offers the convenience of fun and exciting events on the main strip of Grand Bend, or private secluded relaxation in the quiet trees and private beach of Southcott Pines. It is close enough to all amenities and to London or Sarnia to pop in for a quick meeting, but far enough away to be unavailable if that is what you are looking for.
Living Area
Our spacious open concept air-conditioned home offers approximately 2500 square feet of finished living space. The well-equipped kitchen opens to a breakfast nook with lots of window viewing to take in the outdoor wildlife while enjoying your morning coffee. The main dining area just off of the kitchen provides spacious seating for 10 and has an adjoining large outdoor deck where you can access the BBQ. Large windows in the family room provide a full view of mature trees and the natural habitat. You will see lots of native animals! A large Smart TV with Netflix, USB and HDMI cables for remote connections and VCR/DVD can also be enjoyed in this space. Fabulous views of the mature trees can be enjoyed from all main rooms in the house. We have unlimited fiber optic internet available for our guests as well. The washer and dryer can also be found on the main level just off of the kitchen.
Bedrooms
Off of the main living room, you will find the master bedroom featuring a king-size bed, 2 reading chairs and an ensuite which includes a jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom on the main floor has a King-size bed, a crib and a reading chair. The third bedroom on the lower level features 2 Queen beds, a tv and large walk in closet. The fourth bedroom, also located on the lower level, has a queen bed, a single bed, a reading chair and a large desk workspace. The fourth bedroom leads into the third bedroom, as shown in the pictures. (Note: all the bedrooms have window coverings in case you don't want to rise with the early birds!)
In the lower level, there is also a ping pong table, air hockey, a games table with games, puzzles and lots of open space for overflow of guests on those rainy days.
Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to make great family feasts. 1 full-size fridge, gas stove, stovetop, and microwave, dishwasher (dish tabs and soap included). In addition to pots and pans, all the small appliances like a toaster, kettle, Keurig (bring your own pods), blender, griddle, etc. are readily available. The kitchen also features a large pantry so there is plenty of room to store your food. The water from the taps comes from the municipal water supply and is suitable to drink.
Dining
The dining room table inside seats 6 comfortably. There are additional chairs that can be added to the table as well as an adjacent breakfast nook with additional seating. There is also a dining table set up on the deck (seats 6) with additional seating outside. The ceiling fans are controlled by the light switch on the wall.
Bathrooms
All bathrooms are located on the main living area. The cottage has 2 full bathrooms with a shower, toilet and sink and also has a 1/2 bath with a toilet and sink. The cottage is on septic system so please only flush septic freidnly toilet paper. Under NO circumstance can you flush pads, tampon applicators, wet wipes, paper towels, Kleenex, condoms, food waste, etc. All of these items will clog the septic system. DO NOT pour grease etc down the kitchen sink.
Laundry
Just off the kitchen, we have a laundry machine. The garage also features a full-size fridge for your beverage and food overflow. The recycle bags/bins you can use while you are here; remember to place all of your recycling and bagged garbage in the bins located in the garage. If your stay is on Monday we ask that you please take the garbage and recycling bins to the designated spot for pick up. Please see the instructions in the welcome book and above the bins in the garage. If your stay is on a Tuesday, we ask that you retrieve the garbage and recycling bins and return them back to the garage.
Our outdoor area includes a BBQ with a dining sitting area with a fire pit that is perfect for connecting with friends and family in the beautiful weather. Soak in the hot tub! Rinse off in the outdoor shower after a day at the beach. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity offered in this private setting. The driveway has lots of space for parking and outdoor play.
