| Needing a getaway & having a love of #AlgonquinPark & the Highlands to the south, I booked not for the cottage decor, but for the location and the lake.
My God what a wise decision. The place is spectacular - but you know that from the pics online (wish I could post my own on this review).
Chris made the rental so smooth - attentive & immediately responsive to questions.
I plan to take advantage of the kayak tomorrow and enjoy the serentity of this lake in the spring - and hike the trail a few feet from the front door. I might not make it to Algonquin!
Be mindful of the vehicle you bring in wet or snow seasons and know it is a steep walk down to the lake - but very worth it to achieve the panoramic view from this premiere Vista vantage point.
I don't know Chris, this isn't a friend review, but I think I'll get to know him now - and be back.

| Our stay was incredible and we're already looking forward to our next visit! Both the views and the cottage itself, are second to none. There was not a single detail missed when designing this place. From the spa-like bathrooms, the huge vaulted ceilings, the chef's kitchen and the gorgeous stone wood burning fireplace. We enjoyed many cozy fires in the evening, and had more then enough space in the beautiful kitchen to cook up some delicious dinners. All in all, this was by far a 5+ star experience and we can't wait to come back!

| Quiet, secluded, rustic and a contemporary cottage.
Our family had a wonderful time at this cottage. This place is breathtaking; inside and out. The cottage is easily accessible through a main road, and then a single road that takes your directly there. The home is perched over a hill, over looking the stunning Baptiste Lake. The interior is luxurious from modern kitchen appliances to the beautiful stand-up pebble floor shower. The cottage has various grains of wood complimenting each other with natural and stained pieces. The space is well illuminated and technology friendly with wifi and various streaming services. The custom work extends to the gorgeous wooden dining table to the metal railing staircase. The exterior of the house is bordered with glass panels, a safety feature for our two young boys, without blocking the view of the lake. The trail to the lake is short and the property supplies life jackets for the family, and a kayak. There's a rope near the dock so you can jump into the lake and enjoy the crisp water. Our favourite part of the cottage was the beauty of the lake and the surrounding nature in the mornings, and the starry night sky by the fire pit roasting marshmallows with loved ones. We will definitely be visiting this tranquil home again!

| Wonderfully designed both inside and out with all the comforts of home. Stunning scenery of the Hastings Highlands. A really special place that I would recommend to any of my friends.
