Welcome to Crego Lake! Come experience for yourself why guests consistently rate us 5/ 5 stars and award us Superhost and Guest Favourite status.
Just over two hours from Toronto, this cozy lakefront cottage sits on a small, serene lake in the Kawartha Lakes — the perfect peaceful escape for couples or small families. Our spacious, private lot is surrounded by beautiful nature, delivering exactly what cottage country is all about.
What makes this spot truly rare is the 10 hp motor limit: the lake stays wonderfully quiet with almost no boat traffic. Enjoy our large floating dock and fully enclosed lakeside gazebo — plenty of room for the whole group to relax together. Because the lake is small and spring-fed, the water warms up quickly, making it ideal for swimming all summer long. Fishing is excellent too, with healthy populations of smallmouth bass and muskie.
On the water, you'll find everything you need for family fun: a paddleboard, kayak, canoe, pedal boat, rowboat (complete with fishing platform), and a massive 15-foot floating mat. Life jackets are provided for everyone.
The lake bottom is mostly sandy with some small to medium rocks, and the water depth slopes gradually — so you can wade in gently from shore or dive straight off the dock.
Cell service is reliably strong (best on the dock if you're working remotely), and we offer high-speed internet for streaming, staying connected, or catching up on work.
One of our favourite features? The resident family of loons. Open a window at night or settle into the gazebo and listen as their haunting calls echo across the still water — pure magic.
All that's left is to choose your dates, send me a message, and start looking forward to your next unforgettable cottage getaway.

| Another wonderful stay at this cottage on Crego Lake. This property has an abundance of charm, with all the amenities to ensure you have the best possible time enjoying the Kawartha's. Nick the host is always available to answer questions whether booking or already occupying the cottage. Year to year upgrades are always being done to enhance our stay. And the loons who reside on the lake are so entertaining.

| Such a charming, picturesque cottage! From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and at home. The lot is a very generous size so the neighbors are a good distance away. There are lots of trees as well which not only makes you feel like you're in true cottage country, but also helps with privacy. The cottage was well appointed and had everything we needed. The lake was perfect for swimming, the water was very warm. We kept busy exploring the lake in the paddleboat and paddle board. We loved how quiet the lake was, it's so peaceful. We will definitely be back!

| We had an amazing time at Nick's cottage. This was our second time staying there and we will definitely be back. It's super private and quiet, we felt like we had the lake to ourselves. The dock and gazebo set up are perfect, so relaxing. Lots to do with all the water toys. The cottage itself is very charming and rustic, exactly what we want in a cottage. Beds are clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommended.
