| My family and I just spent 2 weeks at the cottage on Bitter Lake and had a fantastic time. The cottage and property are beautiful. Large grassy lawn with an amazing big fire pit to enjoy star gazing and marshmallow roasting. Surrounded by trees so you feel very private. The cottage had everything we needed to be comfortable. It was incredibly clean and organized . The bathrooms were new and beautiful. Towels and linens provided made packing so easy. Just took our food and clothes. We drank the water from the tap and it was wonderful. The deck midway between the cottage and dock was a nice added sitting area where we would take our lunch and a drink as it gets amazing sun in the afternoon. The dock was large enough for 4 adults and our dog to sit comfortably. The ladder into the water was great for those is us that can't jump right in. The lake itself is great . The water felt clean and refreshing. As the lake is not super large, there was not a lot of boat traffic, which was wonderful. Having the use of the 2 kayaks and 2 waterboards really enhanced our time as it was nice to get onto the water and paddle and explore the lake a bit. Laura has thought of everything that you need to arrive and settle in quickly and start enjoying your vacation. We even had a s'mores kit and doggy treats for our fur baby. If you are looking for an updated, clean , comfortable cottage on a beautiful property and lake I would highly recommend. Laura is a thoughtful and responsive hostess.

Owner response: Thanks so much Deborah! It was such a pleasure to host your family holiday. I love that you enjoyed all the outdoor spaces... this is exactly how I spend my time at the cottage as well. And yes, agree, the lot is quite private which helps guests to be able to really relax and enjoy their holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's great being nestled among the trees like this. So healing and relaxing too. Please come visit us again Deborah. And thank-you for taking such great care of the cottage during your stay. You are always welcome at the lake! Warmly Laura

Owner response: Thanks so much Giselle! Great to hear you enjoyed our 2 paddle boards and 2 kayaks during your stay! Agree - Bitter Lake is so fun to explore!! Sunsets on the dock are simply amazing as well. And so thrilled you loved our decor! We really appreciate that. We newly renovated this spring, both bathrooms are completely new and so fresh and modern. A real treat while at the lake. We like to think of it as kind of a rustic yet luxurious mix of decor... you still feel like you are at a cottage, but have all the comforts of home and more. ;) Kind of a mix of boho, Hygge, contemporary and rustic too!! Perfect cozy combo for sure. Thanks for being such a great guest and for leaving my cottage clean and tidy as well! This is always so appreciated and welcome. You are welcome back to the lake anytime Warmly, Laura

| We spent an wonderful two weeks at Laura's cottage and highly recommend it! Laura has done an amazing job in setting you up for an excellent holiday. The description she's provided of the cottage says it all. The setting is beautiful and relaxing. The cottage is cozy and rustic but also has updated and modern amenities. Just enough basic supplies are provided that we weren't rushing out to buy things (so helpful and also less wasteful). The interior and landscaping create a cozy cottage vibe. Bitter lake is a smaller lake (but big enough!) with friendly people. There is minimal boat traffic and boat operators were very respectful. There is lots to do in the area, and if you choose to stay in there are paddle boards and kayaks at the cottage. For the first time in 3 years I felt I truly "relaxed" and am grateful for time spent at Laura's cottage. We hope to visit again in the future.

Owner response: Oh my gosh!!! JoAnne, this is HUGE!! Thank-you for sharing!!!!!!!!! "For the first time in 3 years I felt I truly "relaxed" and am grateful for time spent at Laura's cottage. We hope to visit again in the future." Two weeks is a perfect amount of time to settle in and really unwind and move into 'cottage mode'. So happy you were able to find two back to back weeks available to book. What a treat!! I love that you found our cottage beautiful and relaxing.. I have to be honest. Me too. And it means so much when others get to feel that as well. This is part of the joy of sharing this space with guests to experience for their holiday. It's what makes it all worthwhile. I hope to see you again next year JoAnne, it has truly been a pleasure. You were a joy to host and are welcome back to the lake anytime! Warmly, Laura
