Convenient boat rentals and charters offered at Bala Cove Marina, just a 15 min drive away.
Winter activities include ice fishing a short distance away, snowmobile trail is nearby, a must visit is the Muskoka Lakes farm and winery, skate a 1.2 km loop around 12 acres of cranberries. With forest on one side and cranberry beds on the other, this is a one-of-a-kind experience. | We had the best time at Dorothy's cottage for New Year's! As soon as we walked in, it felt like home ? super cozy and welcoming. Everything we needed was there, from pots and pans in the kitchen to bathroom and bedroom necessities (literally, you just need to bring your food - the rest are all provided).
The view of the lake from the cottage was stunning! The outdoor area was awesome too. The hot tub and sauna were perfect for chilling out and nights by the bonfire under the stars were unforgettable.
The cottage itself was spotless and well-maintained with cozy furniture, comfortable beds, and a well-functioning heating system. It's newly renovated and was spacious enough for our group of seven.
Dorothy was incredibly accommodating and responsive, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
In short, the cottage was a dreamy spot for our New Year's break. It had everything ? comfy vibes, cool stuff to do, and beautiful surroundings. We'd definitely come back for more lakeside retreat! Totally recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

| Five Star plus. Beautiful secluded lake side property. Ultra modern interior. All amenities inc shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Need to return for longer stay. Plenty of scope and provision for indoor and outdoor activities. Will need to return at least twice. Summer and also mid winter

| We had the luck of staying 4 nights at this wonderful cottage and location. The cottage is newly updated and has everything you need for a great time! You can Kayak or SUP to the LCBO or to a restaurant. So fun! The main bedroom is away (upstairs) from the rest of the house so great for lots of kids! The house is within walking distance of Port Carling and a short drive from so many great towns. We spent a day in Bracebridge and Bala both are so quaint! So many places to hike you could be here for a month and not do them all. Dorothy is a great host, very responsive and helpful. Thanks Dorothy for making our stay so enjoyable and easy!

| Dorothy was a wonderful host! We were the first ones to rent this perfectly located cottage. Did we luck out! The lakes surrounding this cottage offering the most breathtaking views! Location could not be more perfect, restaurants, LCBO and grocery store all accessible by boat! Lock system around the corner to other lakes. Sand bottom with 4 feet of water at deck( you can walk in also)! Cottage was newly renovated and lots of room for the 8 adults and furry friends that came along. For the cottage; brand new kitchen, bathrooms and flooring. Water pressure was great for showers, kitchen stocked with the necessities, bar b q on deck and large table for meals and board games. Great job Dorothy (Doug/Kim). Looking forward to returning!
