PRIVACY and SERENITY at DRIFTWOOD HIDEAWAY This newer custom design 3200 ft, 5 bedroom, 3 full baths lakefront was created with cottage experiences and comfort in mind. Driftwood Hideway is nestled on a private and quiet lot with amazing views of Black Donald Lake. The spacious floor plan is flooded with natural light and has two large gathering areas for entertainment. Its contemporary design, custom decor with rustic elements and one of a kind driftwood accent pieces, will surely make you feel comfy cozy. With access to all our watercraft and our outdoor amenities/ games, your escape awaits.
A naturalist may enjoy fishing, swimming, boating, kayaking, canoeing, golfing, hiking, snow shoeing or just relaxing, ALL at @driftwoodhideawayonblackdonald.
THE PROPERTY:
Upon entering the foyer you will get your first glimpse of the great room, with majestic views of the natural surroundings, a pine vaulted ceiling and fireplace to compliment the view. On the side of the the great room is the open concept kitchen and dining room.
The fully equipped gourmet kitchen space is well stocked with all the amenities of home. This area includes an 8 ft live edge harvest table and bench, large island with sitting for 5 allows ample seating for dinner entertainment or happy hour.
Kitchen amenities includes fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, Keurig, coffee maker with carafe, kettle, toaster, toaster oven, pots & pans, roasting pans, crockpot, blender, dishes, cutlery, dish towels, cloths and dish soap.
Off the dining area is a good-sized deck with a dining table and chairs to enjoy a meal or drinks while enjoying the breathtaking southern exposure view. Those looking for shade or enjoy some quiet time can sit on the covered front porch overlooking the private forested area.
There are 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms on the main level. These bedrooms feature queen size beds and black out curtains to aid in a good nights rest. The master bedroom offers an en-suite with a large glass shower and a private balcony with stunning views of the lake. The other 2 bedrooms have large windows with views of the private forest with kilometres of hiking trails starting at the property.
On the lower level is a spacious entertainment area, large windows provide an abundance of natural light and a reclaimed wood wall accentuates the scenic view. There are two spacious bedrooms, a third full bathroom and a large kitchenette.
There is a jacuzzi tub, a perfect go to place after skiing or snow shoeing.
Indoor amenities include a basketball net, shuffleboard table, pool table, large selection of board games, puzzles and books, 70 inch smart TV and 50 inch TV with Amazon fire stick, Wii, DVD player, over 200 DVDs and Starlink unlimited high speed Internet.
Those coming with extended family will appreciate the lower level kitchenette equipped with a round table with 4 chairs, large fridge, sink, microwave, double hot plate, Keurig, kettle, toaster, toaster oven, pots & pans, dishes, cutlery, popcorn maker, bread maker, etc.
Walk out from the kitchenette to a shaded area under the deck with a bbq. While waiting on the bbq, practice your putting at the 18 ft golf green (putters and golf balls provided) or challenge your friends to a game of ladder toss, horseshoes, bocce ball or yard Yahtzee. Just beyond, is the fire pit area, a gathering location overlooking the lake. Firewood is complimentary year round!
There are stairs or steep ATV trail to the waterfront. For those that like to walk into the water there is a small shallow area which is great for children. Deeper water for jumping in and fishing off the dock. Parking is available at the dock if bringing a boat.
Guests will have use of a pedal boat, standup paddle board, windsurfer base board, older non-motorized 14ft aluminum boat, 15ft canoe and 2 sit in kayaks. Also, a thrilling 100 ft zipline!
The majority of the lake's waterfront is crown land, as well as the abutting property. The cottage is close to a public boat launch (2 minute drive) and gas is available on the water (less than 1 minute by boat).The lake offers great fishing which includes Northern Pike, Small Mouth Bass, and Walleye. There are plenty of nearby hiking trails and ATV trails to explore.

| We had a wonderful time at this vacation property. Liz and Scott(the property owners) were absolutely spectacular to deal with. They were prompt to answer all of our questions and treated our group with kindness. The property itself did not disappoint! There was something for everyone. The home itself exceeded our expectations and was very inviting. It came with a fully equipped kitchen which allowed easy meal preparation. The views were amazing and the location was very private. | Driftwood Hideaway is beautiful. Liz and Scott are exceptional hosts and have thought of everything. The cottage is perfectly equipped with everything you need for your stay. | My family and I had a really great time at Liz & Scott's cottage.
The cottage is very well kept, very well decorated and has the most beautiful view overlooking Black Donald Lake.
It has a well equipped kitchen with everything, everything you need - including a BBQ on the outside terrace! Nothing was missing - including in the bedrooms and bathrooms.
The kids and adults had lots of room to hang out and play. The basement is equipped with lots of toys - both for kids and adults - pool table, Ping-Pong, Wii Nintendo, lots of movies and so so much more.
The owners were very quick to respond to any questions we had - before and during our stay. We will definitely be back!

| My family and I had the privilege to rent this cottage for a weekend. The owners are extremely inviting and thoughtful of their guests. This place is gorgeous inside and out. There was always plenty to do and a lot of space for us. We really enjoyed our much needed family vacation. Looking forward to coming back, thanks to Scott and Liz!
