Relax in our cozy 930 square foot cottage in the Interlake. We are located in South Beach Gimli, Manitoba, a short one hour drive north from Winnipeg. Bring your bikes and enjoy the trails and walkways throughout the town. The cottage is a four season 3 bedroom getaway to be enjoyed all year round. The master bedroom is equipped with a queen size bed. The middle bedroom has a double bed. The third bedroom has 2 single beds. The cottage has a deck in the back with plenty of room to gather as a family and have a bbq. There is also a firepit in the backyard to enjoy a hotdog and marshmallow roast as well as ample room for family outdoor activities and games. South Beach is a five minute walk from the cottage and is a perfect place to spend the day enjoying the water with your family. There is also the main beach in Gimli that is a 5minute drive or 10 minute bike ride. The Gimli Aquatic Centre also has large pool, several waterslides and is located within a 5 minute drive. There is fishing, boating/ boat launch, hiking trails, golfing, parks, beaches and many restaurants nearby. The town of Gimli also has several grocery stores, bakeries, coffee shops, and unique gift shops. Buskers By The Beach offers bike rentals.
Other features nearby are the Interlake Dragway, Viking Jet Ski Rentals, New Iceland Heritage Museum, Gimli Farmer's Market, Arnes Farmer's Market, Gimli Harbour , Bowler's Lanes, and Boomer's Funny Farm. Some events include the Icelandic Festival, Gimli Film Festival, and the Wave Interlake Artists Tour. There are many hiking trails at Camp Morton Provincial Park just north of Gimli.
There are many winter sport opportunities as well. There is ice fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, skating, tobogganing as well as cross country skiing at Camp Morton Provincial Park. The Gimli Ice Festival is also a fun family event.
