Chez Fleury is a beautiful cottage on the shore of a quite stretch of the Trent River. The cottage is charming and rustic with a well-equipped kitchen. Comfy beds and linens will inspire you to sleep in. A large flat lawn is great for games, and the deck is the perfect place to have all meals "al fresco" with the bbq is right outside the front door. A vegetable and herb garden may add to your culinary expertise. The deck, dock and lawn are perfect for enjoying the peacefulness of the river and for watching the wonderful wildlife. Herons, otters, ducks, and of course chipmunks are frequent visitors. Swans often pass by and many pairs can be seen among the reeds on the river. This location is a fishing and bird watching paradise! We are situated a short way off from the main channel of the Trent facing Wilson Island. The swimming isn't great as it's a bit weedy off the dock, but two kayaks and a canoe are included for a beautiful paddle through the meandering river. Pickerel, pike, small and large mouth bass can be caught off the dock and are plentiful in the river. Campbellford and Glenn Ross locks are a fun boat ride away. There is a boat launch right down the lane and the sturdy floating dock will keep your boat well protected if you plan to bring one. A beautiful fire pit is ideal for roasting marshmallows (roasting forks are provided) and the night sky is perfect for stargazing. A big dining room table is perfect for classic cottage games at night such as euchre, Monopoly and backgammon. Wifi is available (although we suggest avoiding the temptation to check emails and just enjoy the escape!). We are fortunate to have 10 golf courses in our area. Golfing in the morning, fishing in the afternoon and a campfire at night make for a perfect vacation day!
The beautiful shops of Warkworth are less than a half hour away and Campbellford offers all amenities such as groceries, gas, LCBO and beer store, as well as take out options and the famous Doohers Bakery, voted the sweetest in Canada! The vineyards of Prince Edward County are less than an hour away and we have a few micro-breweries in the area now.
For outdoor enthusiasts, Ferris Provincial Park and the Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge are less than 10 km away. Access to the Eastern Ontario Trails is 2 km down the road.
The peacefulness of Chez Fleury is ideal for artists, writers and yoga enthusiasts while the river offers unparalleled "nature therapy". River life is a true escape from the hectic pace of the city.

| We had a wonderful week stay at Chez Fleury this summer! The space was beautiful, the indoor space, lawn and water were exactly as pictured. We spent most of our time hanging out on the large, beautiful deck, BBQing, reading and generally just relaxing. Thanks for a great week, we would 100% come back here!

| Our family of four had a wonderful time at Chez Fleury! The cottage was clean and comfortable. We felt like it was a great home away from home. We used the kayaks and canoe for peaceful trips along the river. We were able to get up close to a blue heron and just enjoy nature. We played some outdoor games, had campfires and smores, and overall had a fantastic relaxing time. The location was great. The road it is on is quiet. It was close to downtown Campbellford where we did some exploring, as well as Stirling where we enjoyed some ice cream! The host was helpful and answered all questions we had. The neighbours were friendly and helpful as well.

| I stayed here with my mother brother and small weiner dog Marty in early September. This cottage exceeded our expectations and we were so pleased with everything! not a single complaint and we really hope to come again next year. Big thank you to Wendy as she answered all our questions and was very pleasant to communicate. there really is nothing bad I can say about this experience.
