| Overall this was a wonderful cottage rental. We were 8 people staying there for one week, and the cottage was clean, and very spacious. The beds were extremely comfortabe, like being at a hotel. The property is right off a main road, but still felt secluded, and it's a very short drive to Port Carling. The hosts were extremely responsive, typically answering any questions I had within 15 minutes. The view from the cottage was beautiful, and we enjoyed canoe and kayak rides on the lake. One thing to note, is that the water around the cottage dock is very shallow and murky/weedy. There is a floating dock that you can boat to and then swim off of, and the water there is about waist deep. Overall, it's not an ideal swimming situation with young children, but otherwise I have nothing but positive things to say about the week here.

| We had a wonderful week at Emily and Alex's lakehouse/cottage. It is exactly as pictured- beautiful, clean, comfortable and private. It was very spacious for our 2 families (4 teens and 4 adults) and thoughtfully supplied with everything you would need for a week away. The large kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to cook all of our meals and share them around the big table. The screened in porch was a lovely spot to hang out in the evening with comfortable lounge chairs to curl up in. We rented a boat to use for water sports but also enjoyed the kayaks, canoe and paddle board for quiet exploration of Long Bay and fishing. We took the host's advice and enjoyed a beautiful hike at Huckleberry Rock Lookout Trail one morning. The close proximity to Port Carling was excellent as was accessing gas for our boat nearby at Windermere marina. The 5 star review is well deserved for this cottage and the responsive and helpful hosts. Thank you Emily and Alex.

| My wife and I arrived from the UK, picked up our son, his wife and 3 young boys and headed for the cottage. Despite being accessed directly from a main highway, the property felt secluded and private. We were not disappointed. It was excellently equipped with ample supplies of usable like coffee filters, dishwasher tabs, garbage bags etc. The kitchen, dining and sitting rooms were spacious and inviting. And the bedrooms were exceedingly comfortable and relaxing. The water craft - kayaks, paddle boat, large canoe and paddle board - were all great fun. Numerous life jackets were available. 3 of our party had daily use of the static exercise bike to counteract the extra calories holidays usually involve. Contact with the owners was easy, helpful and very prompt. Payment was also easy despite the different currency and the return of our damage deposit was made on the day after departure. We would certainly rent this cottage again and recommend it strongly to those considering it.

| Our three-generation family recently had the pleasure of vacationing at this enchanting cottage near Port Carling. Every aspect of our stay felt tailored to our diverse needs.
Location: Its closeness to Port Carling was a huge plus. The convenience of popping into town, combined with the seclusion of our own private space, was just perfect.
Waterfront: The serene waterfront was a hit, especially with the range of water toys available for all ages. Hours were joyfully spent exploring and playing in the bay.
Hiking: A short drive took us to some stunning hiking trails, offering the adventurers in our group a chance to connect with nature.
Kitchen: The heart of our stay was the spacious and well-appointed kitchen. Preparing meals for our large group was a breeze and became a delightful shared activity.
Games: The bocci ball and other games ensured fun-filled family moments, fostering both competition and connection.
Views: The highlight? The mesmerizing views from the Muskoka chairs on the covered dock. It was our peaceful retreat for reflection and bonding.
In essence, this cottage beautifully catered to our family, merging excitement with relaxation. For a memorable family getaway, this Port Carling treasure is a top recommendation.
