Our Story
Let our exquisite Lake House with its teal-coloured exterior, asymmetrical shape, true waterfront lake living with an abundance of amenities be the choice of your next vacation and the perfect escape to rejuvenate, celebrate and unwind.
Skipping Rock Lake House is a quick drive to Port Dover and Niagara Falls if you want to do something extra on your getaway. It is also located between two provincial parks - each only a 20-minute drive. Several golf courses are in the area as well. As in most small towns, Haldimand County has local bakeries, one-of-a-kind shops, non-franchise restaurants and even fine dining. You can discover the Grand River and all of its beauty for walking trails, fishing, boating, and so much more.
Walk directly into the shallow water; but be sure to bring WATER SHOES as it is rocky, not sandy! We have an armour stone break wall attached to the dock (seasonal). It is also connected to the aggregate pad for a unique place to sit and view the lake.

Our location is known for great small mouth bass fishing. You can literally see them in the shallow water off our boat dock. | Recently stayed to celebrate my 50th birthday. Everything was great. Jason met us upon arrival to tour us around and explain things. Jason was also very responsive to messages throughout. Everything was as pictured. My favourites were the super comfortable beds (all beds), luxurious bath towels, kitchen tools/plates/bowls and everything you need was there. Fire tub is pretty neat, the bunkie was a hit which enabled more guests. Air conditioner if wanted (including bunkie). Internet was great, my husband was able to work without issue. Lovely little spot, right on the water with kayaks and paddleboards to use. Enjoyed morning coffee on the deck watching the sun rise. Recommend bringing water shoes. Only one bathroom, which we knew, worked out ok for us. The shower is a separate room from the toilet, so showering didn't effect those needing the toilet, so thats very helpful. | Just got back from a 3-day stay with my girlfriend's for a weekend away. This was our third visit and as always, it didn't disappoint. The cottage is the perfect size and has the most comfortable beds. We enjoyed our time hanging out on the dock and listening to music. There is a fire pit as well as a fire tub which is my personal favourite. Everything at the cottage is clean and inviting and I love how it is waterfront. It is located on a quaint little street and the grounds are beautifully kept. Jason and Lisa are wonderful hosts and are around to answer any questions, anytime. Very friendly and welcoming. We will without a doubt be booking our girls trip here again.

| The location was wonderful! Right on the waterfront! Our host Jason was great, met us on the first day to explain or answers any questions. The fire tub was nice, and we used it a couple times. Loved that they had kayaks, paddleboard and outdoor/indoor games. House was very clean with lots of amenities.
My only suggestion if possible would be a second toilet because the house/bunkie can hold quite a few people.
Would stay again!
