Now's the time to make your escape from the city!! This 2 bedroom winterized vacation home is just steps from the sandy beaches of Long Point! Completely renovated with a beautiful fully equipped kitchen, dining room with an oversized table and the living room has three couches, two of which open into beds. Spacious 4 piece bath, 2 bedrooms both with large closets and queen beds. One of the bedrooms also has bunk beds. Not just for the summer season - enjoy a cozy, peaceful autumn or winter here. Our cottage sits on an extra large lot with a driveway on each side - lots of room for parking and there is a fire pit in the backyard. A Provincial Park day-use vehicle permit is included for your stay to enjoy Long Point Provincial Park and all of its amenities. Close to marinas, wineries, birding, golfing and much more. Time to enjoy the lake life!

The top three things I look for when looking for a vacation rental are: host (excellent), cottage amenities (tastefully decorated and has everything you need) and location (9 cottages to the private beach).

I have rented The Getaway several times and I must say that it is one of my favorite places. It is a relaxing change of pace from living in a city. This was my first fall stay and I was not disappointed. Each day started with a speciality coffee on the front porch under the warmth of the morning sun. Afternoons consisted of day trips to nearby towns to shop, walk and bike. The colors of the trees this time of year are stunning. In the evening we bundled up and went down to the beach to watch the sunset . It's an experience that's well worth trying for yourself.

I had a college girls weekend away at this cottage and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Adrian was a perfect host who communicated well, gave us suggestions on things to do and see and was extremely pleasant and helpful. The cottage itself was a dream it had everything you needed, was tastefully decorated and very inviting. I would highly recommend staying at this cottage as you will not be disappointed!!
