Experience the Fall Colours! Our cottage offers an 'Old Muskoka' authentic cottage getaway experience with plenty of creature comforts, yet the feeling of being in a cabin in the woods perched above the sparkling clear waters of the Moon River. The property offers two convenient parking spaces steeped in the landscape, with extra space for daytime visitors. The dual-access wooden steps down the cottage are just the start of your picture-perfect week away. The backside of the cottage offers shaded decking for BBQing, outdoor dining and lounging. Inside the cottage, you'll find two bedrooms with single bunk beds and a queen bed (quality mattresses). The beds are set up with comfortable quilts and down-filled pillows while you supply linens. The kitchen/ living room offers everything you need for cooking and relaxing (with a futon for extra sleeping). The T.V. is accompanied by Apple T.V./Netflix, and we also have high-speed internet to keep you connected. The feature room is the 'Muskoka Room' offering a dining table for 4, a pullout sofa, pined lined walls, a vaulted ceiling and stunning views of the bay.
The river/lake is a close jaunt from the cottage, offering a combination of steps and a natural pathway to get you there. The waterfront provides some level land for sitting/playing, a firepit and a 'New' 16' by 20' dock for relaxing, getting into your boat or jumping into the water. Best of all, we have a sand beach entry for the kids or those who like to wade in slowly. We offer a range of life jacket sizes, a paddleboat and a canoe.
The river/lake offers excellent swimming, fishing, boating, and many bays and inlets to explore. You can even boat into the town docks and grab ice cream/treats in Bala. If you need amenities (groceries, dining, bank), you're just a 6-7 minute drive from Bala and the famous 'Don's Bakery' and 'Kee to Bala' concert venue.

| Where do I even begin This is THE cottage that is painted in your dreams. This cottage is absolutely gorgeous. Beyond being the most scenic and picturesque cottage I've been to, it is extremely well appointed and offers lots of space and activities to keep busy. My purpose for travel was to use this cottages' luxurious dock as the picture perfect location to ask my now-fiancée to marry me, and it DID NOT DISSAPOINT. The dock area is beautiful and the use of the paddleboat and canoe was fantastic. Mitch is extremely kind, responsive and overall fantastic to deal with. Safe to say, you'll have me staying annually for the foreseeable future! Thank you for letting us enjoy your gorgeous cottage!

| We enjoyed a nice weekend away here on the moon river. It's was a very well looked after place and you can tell the owner care about it and use it personally. We really enjoyed The large dock and it accommodates boats at it very well. The rivers offers plenty of areas to explore and was extremely quite while we where up there. Hardy lake provincial park has great walking trails and you can easily spend a few hrs in there

| Clean, cozy cottage with everything you need! Beautiful lake views, crystal clear lake with gradual entry, comfortable beds. Super close to Bala (a few minutes drive) for groceries, dining and bakery. Quick communication time from host Mitch. A real gem - so happy with our stay!

| We stayed for a week and had the best time! The cottage was cozy and quaint. The kitchen was stocked with necessities. Our kids loved swimming to the lillypad off the end of the dock and hunting for acorns around the property! The paddleboat and paddle board were highlights as well. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. No issues with internet connection. Mitch was easy going and super responsive to any questions we had. The moon river was beautiful and all week we said the cottage felt like a tree house in the sky! The views were stunning. Thank you again Mitch for the beautiful summer memories we made at the cottage.

| We had an absolute wonderful family time at this cottage. The host was very friendly, quick to respond with our questions and offered great suggestions for local activities. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked, making our meals easy. Excellent spot for our little grandchildren as the lake was a gradual shallow sandy entry moving towards a decent swimming depth further out. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the stunning lake views. Highly recommend this peaceful retreat!"
