Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or an active lifestyle close to all amenities, this beautiful property is designed to enrich every moment of your stay. From previous guests - favorite things: - Throw-back to the cottages of the 60?s and 70?s but completely updated with walkouts from main room and bedrooms to large wooden deck overlooking the lake, new bathrooms and kitchen. - The sun on my face as I sip my morning cup of coffee on the front stoop - the sound of the waves crashing on the shore while I sleep, with the patio doors open and the gentle warm breeze brushing my face - floating in the warm crystal clear waters
- suntanning on the dock
- Watching the children delight in building sand castles and splashing in the shallow warm waters, collecting sea glass and skipping stones across the calm waters
- playing games on the manicured lawns
- marveling at the flower beds, and especially the amazing smoke tree
- Walking into Beaverton for an ice cream cone, the children love the splash pad in the play ground, and we. Love watching the boats coming in and out of the marina, and some people fishing off the pier.
- Paddle boating and kayaking
- Enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine from the deck, or the dock - always mesmerizing!
- the quiet, peaceful atmosphere, far from the maddening crowd, the cottage is at the end of the road, and the neighbours are not close, the cottage are not on top of each other
- Our sanctuary for the past 5 years! Feels like coming home!
- Our favorite time is September when the days are warm and crisp, and the nights cool, and summer folk have returned to the city - so peaceful!

| We keep coming back for a reason - this is the perfect family-friendly cottage to relax, unwind and make memories! A special thanks to the hosts, Elizabeth and Doug, whose care and attention are evident in every detail. They make thoughtful improvements each year, and it's clear how much pride they take in maintaining the property.
The cottage is spacious, comfortable, and beautifully blends classic cottage charm with modern conveniences like cozy beds, a washer and dryer, and a dishwasher - everything you need for a relaxing getaway.
The waterfront at the cottage is one of our favourite features. The rocky beach is ideal for families, with shallow, clear water that's perfect for children to play and swim safely (just remember to bring water shoes). The lake sparkles in the sun, and the sunsets are absolutely breathtaking. The expansive and well-maintained lawn is another highlight. It's soft and provides plenty of space for lawn games, soccer, catch, or simply enjoying the outdoors.
Beaverton is just a short drive away, making it easy to pick up groceries or enjoy a few local gems, including the bakery, coffee shop, and toy store. Nearby Brechin has a great farmers' market and a go-kart track that's become a family tradition.
This cottage truly has everything we look for in a family getaway, and we already can't wait to come back!

| We had a wonderful time at this cottage! Elizabeth was very quick to respond to any of our inquiries and made everything a smooth process. The grounds at the cottage were very well kept and there was so much useable lawn space for our kids to run around and play. The inside of the cottage was very clean and well equipped for a week's stay. We especially loved all the windows and sliding doors looking out to the beautiful lake view. The waterfront was great for kayaking and the kids enjoyed exploring and collecting rocks, shells, and playing in the large sand pit. Nearby Beaverton was very convenient for groceries and the splash pad. We enjoyed day trips to Orillia and just over an hour from Santa's Village in Bracebridge. We know we'd have another amazing time returning in the future!

| We had a wonderful holiday at this cozy, clean and well appointed cottage with the million dollar view and breathtaking sunsets. It was a first time kayaking experience for 6 year old Jane who loved it and we loved the fact that there were kayaks for her size! Allistair, Christina, Merv and I all enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boat and warm water. Despite the cold weather and a couple days of rain, we had a fabulous time because Elizabeth supplied us with wood for an outdoor fire and wood for the wonderful indoor fireplace. She also recommended visits to nearby Port Perry, Fenelon Falls and Orillia. We appreciated the thoughtfulness and care put into this cottage and hope to return so we can build more memories here. Thank you!

Owner response: Susan, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I'm delighted to hear that you and your family enjoyed the cottage, the kayaks, and the sunsets. It's especially heartwarming to know that little Jane had her first kayaking adventure here! I'm glad the firewood and local recommendations helped make your stay comfortable and memorable, even with a few rainy days. It was a pleasure to host you, and I truly hope you'll return to create even more special memories at the cottage. | |

| We had the pleasure of staying at the cottage for a few days in the middle of August. Do to a disastrous rental for the week we had planned, we had to hastily find an alternative. As fate would have it, the Serendip cottage was available for the remaining days of our vacation.
Indeed what a wonderful experience. Late evening sunsets, lovely warm water for swimming, beautifully kept property as well as an amazing and pristine cottage.
It was everything we had hoped for in a cottage. Cozy with that wooden cottage atmosphere, super comfortable beds, modern appliances and plenty of chairs to lounge outside in the sun and listen to the waves for that calming cottage atmosphere.
We highly recommend staying here as it accommodates all needs for couples and families alike. And once the kids are in bed, enjoy relaxing on the swing watching the sunset.
