*** NOW BOOKING SUMMER 2024 *** *** PADDLEBOAT AND KAYAKS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE *** Welcome to our waterfront retreat with unbridled access to thousands of acres of Crown Land, trails and wild life near the charming city of Bancroft and the great Weslemkoon lake. We are open for bookings all year around, including winter and spring time! The cottage is on Wannamaker Lake, a limestone based lake which offers crystal clear waters with only 8 properties on it and an island in the middle of it. The lake is approximately 184 acres in size with a maximum depth of 54 feet. Wannamaker Lake is a medium sized lake, with around 70% of it being crown land. There is really good fishing on the lake where you can find largemouth and smallmouth bass, perch and pumpkinseed. Set on a 6 acre estate lot with 305 feet of clean shoreline and total privacy from the neighbours, the cottage offers all the amenities of a modern home during your stay with central heating during winter and AC in the hot summer months. Kitchen is fully supplied and with a dishwasher you spend less time cleaning and more time relaxing. The open concept design with high cathedral ceilings and large windows offer stunning views of the lake both from the master suite and the main living area. Master suite is located on the second floor with a 4 piece ensuite bathroom, walk in closet and a flat screen TV. On the main floor there are 2 bedrooms, a three piece bathroom and a large living room with a fireplace.
Outside, a large wrap around deck offers great views of the lake, sunshine and fresh air during the day. At night you could enjoy listening to the loon calls without being bothered by the bugs in the screened porch area or gather around the fire pit for great campfire stories. There are also 2 kayaks and a paddle boat available at no extra cost to see more of this beautiful lake or island at the centre of it.
Indoors, with free WIFI, you also have access to Netflix on a 65" TV and a large collection of board games for relaxation or family fun.
There is a small convenience/LCBO with gas pumps just 10 minutes from the cottage on Highway 28. The city of Bancroft is less than 30 minutes away with lots of gift shops, antique stores, Canadian Tire, Foodland, No Frills, 2 Tim Horton's, family restaurants and a new hospital and a veterinarian.
Weslemkoon lake is a 15 minute drive down the Hartsmere Road where you can fish for larger varieties of fish including pike and lake trout or simply enjoy boating and exploring this massive 4,800 acre lake.

| Perfect cottage layout for ourselves and our 2 adult children and their partners. Although, the cottage could easily accommodate more people. We enjoyed having the loft ensuite area for ourselves. The other 2 bedrooms were on the main floor. The open concept kitchen/living area was spacious, bright and well appointed. The screened porch was a great place to relax. Quiet lake with clear water. The pictures provided are very accurate. We really enjoyed our stay.

| We just had a most relaxing week in Kia's waterfront cottage. Thanks Kia for thinking of everything to make our stay a joy. We loved the layout of the cottage, well designed rooms and wonderful views from the terrace, The Wannamaker lake is extremely calm and clean, it always brought us life peace when we explored its beauty by kayaking. We hope we will stay again in the future.

| My husband and I had a lovely week at this very comfortable cottage. The area feels very private, and secluded making it a remarkable retreat from the city. The lake was/is beautifully clean and wonderful for swimming or kayaking. Sitting on the dock was also quiet with the odd pontoon boat passing by just to remind you that you weren't really alone. The other reviewers all pointed out the well appointed kitchen, living space, and amenities which I wholeheartedly agree with. It is truly a lovely place, nestled in a private location. A great place to relax, unwind, and gather your thoughts. Thank you Kia for offering us your cottage. Joanne.

| Beautiful! Words after that just seem superfluous. The cottage is very clean and comfortable with all the amenities of home nestled in the forest and on a beautiful lake. This is a very private location with no cottages across the lake or even visible from anywhere on the property. The ground floor has a lovely open concept living area complete with satellite tv for the rainy days. There is a screened in porch for morning or evening coffee (away from bugs) The large kitchen is great for food prep and a clean barbecue and stove available for cooking. The lake was pristine and it felt as though we were the only ones using the water. Water is great for swimming and the kayaks provided were fun to explore the rest of the lake. Everything was absolutely perfect for our family. One watch out might be for seniors who may find the path to the lake slightly steep. Having said that my 80 yr old in laws were able to navigate everything fine but it may be a barrier for some. Fantastic property and owner was lovely to deal with. Hope to stay again in the future.
