| My family and I spent this past weekend at Cedar Shores Lake House for the first time and we all loved it so much. The cottage is clean, spacious and there is so much to do here (pedal boat, paddle board, kayak, canoe, board games, movie night etc). I must say, the beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable, like really comfy! Kristen is a gem?she is so lovely to work with. Always quick to respond, very friendly and she provided lots of information and details regarding our stay, surrounding area etc. Thank you for hosting our little fam jam, couldn't have ended summer any better. See you next year

| The Cedar Shores Lake House was well situated on the lakefront, and only a short drive to Lakefield for all your gas/grocery/other needs. It was a very easy walk from the house to Selwyn Conversation Area for a short hike on the trail loop. The lake itself was the perfect in-between of peaceful and busy. The cottage was very clean inside and out, and not once did we experience any signs of previous guests (that you sometimes get with rentals). We loved that the lake house had all the amenities that we needed in good working order, like good WiFi, coffee maker, BBQ, and lots of outdoor watercraft. We had some in our group that enjoy cooking a lot, and the felt the kitchen was better stocked than your typical cottage! The house was the perfect size for our group of 7, which include one child. For the kids, there are some toys in the house and thoughtful amenities like plastic dishware, step stools, etc. Best of all, pets are allowed and our dog was thrilled that he can come on vacation with us for a change! Communication with the owner, Kristen, was excellent before, during, and after our stay. The house exceeded our expectations - thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Owner response: Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and detailed review of your experience at our lake house. We are so happy that your family was able to utilize all of the outdoor watercraft and toys to make your stay a great, and we loved that you were able to bring your dog with you. Ours always enjoy being at the cottage, from the swimming to the hiking and walks. There's something for everyone to enjoy. It also helps that we are getting our second summer and that was a beautifully hot weekend! We hope to have you back another time! | |

| 5 stars across the board! We booked a 3 night getaway on a weeks' notice, and are so grateful we found this gem! Kristen made the booking process seamless and stress free. Amazing location, beautiful property and gorgeous sunsets! The cottage was well stocked, with everything we could ask for and more, both inside and out! The lake was clean and many fish were caught right off the dock! We spent a few hours at Selwyn Conservation nearby (2 minutes away), where there is a beautiful, quiet little sandy beach. Anything we needed during our stay was in close proximity with a short 10min drive (Groceries, gas, worms, snacks). Kristen has created a truly welcoming, comfortable cottage with plenty of space for everyone and all of the comforts of home. We had such a wonderful time whether it was in and around the lake, devouring Smore's around the campfire, laughing around the table playing board games or just taking in the gorgeous views from the balcony! Excellent communication, Kristen was always friendly, prompt and attentive to any questions we had. We will definitely be back!

| My family and I had a fantastic vacation at the Cedar Shores Lakehouse Cottage. Location is beautiful and private, while at the same time being accessible to Selwyn Public Beach. Cottage was clean, thoughtfully stocked, and fit all of us very comfortably. We enjoyed fishing, camp fires and the beach. Kristen was an amazing host and responded quickly to any of our questions. Thanks again!

| We stayed here for a week, and it was so lovely! The weather was just below freezing most of the week and it made for quite the picturesque landscape to watch the lake as it froze. The interior is extremely comfortable and there are plenty of board/card games to play inside while watching the snow fall sitting next to the fire. Despite the cold, we still managed to sit around the firepit each night and roast some marshmallows. Owners provided recommendations for places nearby and were easy to contact throughout the rental process.
Overall, this has been such a wonderful way of starting the winter season, and we would love to come back and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere again.
