Read your favorite books on the riverside deck or patios, wander through Kingston and Gananoque, cycle the Thousand Islands Parkway, or fish from shoreline. Relax in the Thousand Islands this summer, wind down and enjoy tranquillity at Howe Island Haven. Or visit in the autumn to enjoy fall colours. Our house looks south over the Saint Lawrence toward Wolfe Island, with over 200 ft of shoreline, and has its own small harbour. After a short ferry ride and a 15 minutes drive, you're in the heart of historic Kingston, with excellent restaurants and shopping. Or drive 15 minutes and take a short ferry ride into Gananoque, with its small town feel and excellent theatre productions. The open plan living and dining room open onto a spacious deck with beautiful views of the river. The house sleeps up to four people, with two separated bedrooms (one with queen bed, the other with two stacking singles that can be joined together). Full and half bathrooms adjoin. The kitchen is well equipped with stove, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, dishes, etc. Other amenities include a washer and dryer, BBQ, Smart TV and DVD player, plenty of books, DVD's and games. The house is relatively private on a 1 acre lot with plenty of trees, gardens and a couple of ponds. A waterfall runs after heavy rain. A second smaller building shares the property, but is not visible from the riverside garden. Other neighbours are 200-300 feet away. Please note during the summer months our rental period is weekly, Saturday to Saturday. We enjoy pets, but unfortunately we cannot accept them at the house. Smoking is only permitted outdoors.
Enjoy the Thousand Islands, Kingston and Gananoque this summer!

| Howe Island Haven is located on the shoreline of Howe Island, providing a beautiful view of the St. Lawrence River. The cottage is very clean and has all amenities. We spent a week here and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful and tranquil location, the only sounds we heard were birds. The owner Andrew lives nearby and readily helped us with any problems, offering us advice on nearby attractions. Andrew and his wife Barbara are very thoughtful: providing a detailed and comprehensive Welcome Binder. We highly recommend Howe Island Haven, which is aptly named: a cottage like no other we have been to, a lovely place to unwind, rejuvenate and enjoy. I am so thankful that we found such a unique place to stay to enjoy the natural charm of Howe Island.

| Idyllic and peaceful setting with lovely views. Various birds - from bald eagles, ospreys, kingfishers, loons, hummingbirds and many others. Enjoyed windsurfing from this location, on calm days used my board with a paddle. Host available, and loaned us tools to fix a problem in our trailer. Cottage comfortable, with internet and other amenities. Lots of surrounding yard and waterfront. We had a lovely vacation and enjoyable stay.

| Andrew & Barbara are great hosts! Excellent communication throughout the booking process and made sure we had all the details needed. We spent a few days at their calm, serene retreat with nothing but nature surrounding us. Perfect getaway for someone looking to beat the city hustle. Would love to return for a longer stay! Cheers

| We had a wonderful week at Andrew & Barbara's Havenwood Cottage. Inside the cottage was tidy and nice with a comfortable living area and a well-equipped kitchen. We particularly liked spending time on the deck with its gorgeous views of the the St. Lawrence River and Wolfe Island. We had bikes and liked riding all over the island. We really enjoyed our time there and look forward to visiting again next year.

| A very nice refuge, far away from the noise and stress of the day by day life, nested on one of the Howe Island coves. A true oasis for nature lovers. Very clean and nice maintained by the owners. Very well accommodating 2 families, with the 2 bedrooms separated by the large, bright living-room. We have spent the Thanksgiving long weekend at the cottage and at the end of our stay, we were so sorry to go back home. For sure we'll go back again.
