This cottage is a wonderful blend of modern and rustic! It's only an hour above Peterborough and has all the rainy-day necessities combined with nature and tranquility. The lake is on the smaller side and extremely calm and quiet - we couldn't believe how serene the area was.

The resident loons popped up to visit us regularly, and we were also gifted with sightings of beavers, herons, deer (off-property nearby), and turtles. Not to mention the many fish if you're into fishing.

The kayaks, paddle board, and peddle boat were great to get to use when we weren't sitting on one of the two docks enjoying the peaceful views. There are some weeds when swimming in the lake, but there is a good 3-4 feet of clear water above them for swimming and floating (a couple of floaties were provided).

If you're looking to get back to nature this is a great place to start! Also highly recommend checking out nearby Petroglyphs Provincial Park for an interesting and pretty day trip.

We had a wonderful family stay here! The cottage was roomy and well stocked, and the bunkie was a nice little getaway for our kids when they needed some down time.
We especially loved the firepit and the abundance of outdoor seating in the yard and on the docks.
We took advantage of the rowboat, paddle board, peddleboat and kayak, and loved that we could see nearly the entire lake from the dock!
Lots of wildlife - loons, beavers, turtles, wild turkeys and of course fish!
Perfect size, great location, lots to do - highly recommend!

Just returned from a wonderful week spent with the family at Lasswade Pines. Upon arrival you know this is a family cottage, warm and inviting. The inside is well kept, well appointed, and extremely well stocked, we immediately felt at home. All 3 bedrooms offered comfortable beds and the bathroom was larger than I was expecting and the shower was hot and water pressure was great. The island in the kitchen was a lovely touch, when we weren't eating outside at the dining table, this was the perfect gathering spot to eat or enjoy a game of Euchre or other board game. There is a Bunkie on the property as well, so cute! We didn't take advantage of it this time around, but hope to be back and make use of it then. There are a number of separate seating areas outside, each offering views of the water. I was very impressed that the cottage had 2 docks! With so many water activities offered, this came in very handy, and each dock again had seating. We took the kayaks, canoe and row boat out on the lake. The lake is just large enough to take a leisurely paddle around to see all the cottages. The water was wonderfully warm to just relax on a tube and float for hours! There is a very large fire pit with lots of seating, we found this a great spot to pass the evening hours. Dale, the host, was quick to respond and extremely helpful in offering information about the surrounding area.We had a wonderful time and can't wait to return again. A great spot to make lasting memories!
