1.5 hours from Ottawa on Sicard's Bay (part of the Bonnechere River system), located between Golden Lake and Round Lake. Quiet location at end of road, with 150 feet of waterfront.....30 feet of sandy, shallow beachfront.

Several routes near Killaloe incorporate unpaved or gravel roads suitable for adventure cycling, ATVs snowmobiles, and off-road vehicles

Good fishing for pike, bass and pickerel.

Outdoor tikki bar seats 4. Open concept 3 bedroom and 1 bathroom featuring 14 foot cathedral ceilings with large windows offering excellent views of the waterfront. 14 foot kitchen island. Wrap around deck linking to screen enclosed porch.

Beautiful cottage, fully equipped with a perfect location. It is situated at the end of a road and feels very private. The lake is so peaceful with great fishing and kayaking.
Short drive to Barry's bay for quaint gift shops and town.
Heather is great host and answers immediately when contacted.

Words can't do justice to Heather's cottage. It was amazingly beautiful with a lot of green space, sandy beach and all key amenities at your disposal. The place was kept clean with a lot of direct sunlight filling up the interior.
Beautiful sunrise over the lake and sunset over the side field were stunning. Heather is super proactive in responses and was very patient in answering the millions on questions I had. Karaoke was super fun. The lake is also calm and not too cold. We totally enjoyed our time and would definitely recommend Heather's cottage to everyone.

My family and I had stayed in this lovely establishment ,twice !(since I've discovered it last summer). Someone like my family and I who is from and had lived in Hawai'i is a true paradise. However , paradise do come with a hefty price . But , this little paradise in Golden Lake is worth every penny.

The picture does NOT do justice, as it looks way better in person . You will need nothing .

This is a wonderful place to create cherished memories with your loved ones. The pictures here don't do justice to how gorgeous the cottage is in real life. The cottage was clean and tidy when we arrived and the owners were wonderful about providing all the information we needed during our stay. The cottage has a wonderful layout, there's plenty of space around the dinner table when you want everyone together but also plenty of space for people to go off and do their own thing without stepping on anyone's toes. The kitchen is fully equipped and there's a massive BBQ outside. We had everything we needed to cook some really wonderful meals during our stay. The WiFi was great . There's a satellite TV as well but, that was rarely used as the view of the lake was more impressive anyway. Overall this was one of the best cottage rental experiences we've had and we will certainly come back, regularly . That is if ,we haven't gone back to Hawai'i .

This is a beautiful cottage fully equipped with everything you need for a romantic getaway. From beautiful sunrises in the morning to relaxing campfires by the water in the evening. It has beautiful open concept kitchen with everything a home chef needs to prepare all meals with a great view from anywhere in the cottage.
On our daily walks we enjoyed the local wildlife and the fall colours. The cottage is not far from a grocery store and most important the LCBO. The cottage is also a short drive to Algonquin Park for longer day hikes.
We found Heather to be very helpful with all our questions. It was a Joy to rent this cottage. We look forward renting it again. Thank you so much Heather for a wonderful anniversary getaway.
