Waterfront

B'Haven is a lovingly renovated two story home on two acres of partially forested land on a fabulous lake. The property includes a two-room bunkie, wood-burning firepit, two kayaks, gardens and porches on both levels. Situated on Lake Kasshabog - a 10 km lake with lots of inlets, bays and islands - the large waterfront (220') includes a sandy shoreline ideal for little ones. A floating deck with ladder is attached to the dock - perfect for water games, floating and fun. Our bay is known for game fishing (bass and yellow perch) with a small rock island just a stones throw away for a short paddle or additional swim pad. Local attractions include the Petroglyphs Provincial Park, the Gut Conservation area gorge, golf courses (Marvel Rapids, Oakland Greens), multiple 'art trails', community festivals and larger poke about locales including Prince Edward County (known as 'the County') and Peterborough.

The main floor includes a large living/dining space, new contemporary kitchen with storage area (extra refrigerator) and television/games room - with a screened-in porch. The second floor has two bedrooms (queen beds in both), a large open sitting space with two pull-out single couches (extremely comfy mattresses), bathroom and an additional smaller sitting area/porch. The bunkhouse - a short path from the cottage -includes both a bedroom with queen size bed and separate sitting area. Cottage amenities include games - and more games, DVDs and satellite television. A walking trail through the forest begins near the end of our drive. Internet available.

Barb was amazing she allowed us to come up with not only our two grandchildren but our
170lbs Mastiff which was so kind of her not knowing us and believing that we would take care of her BEAUTIFUL.COTTAGE beyond anything we could have hoped for. Our Grandchildren swam every day from the lake edge to the Island in the middle of the lake, we kayaked with their kayaks every day. The use of the outdoor fire pit was just perfect to teach our grandchildren how to chop wood and make a fire and then of corse roast marshmallows. We will be back in 2020. Barb you are amazing.

Lol. Such a lovely couple - we both enjoyed meeting you , Alan and your grand-twins. As for the ever handsome Fudge, we appreciated your compliance with our requests surrounding Fudge's stay. We are delighted that our lake home provided quality cottage-life time with your grandchildren -and Fudge, of course. Hugs - Barb

B-haven , it should read Almost ?Heaven? ! Thank you Barb and Tom for entrusting us with your beautiful cottage. It was a week of serenity, peace and happiness! The sunsets were like we could touch heaven from down here, Majestic would be the correct word to use. The cottage is truly loved, with all the amenities of home. I must confess , the pictures on the website do not do justice for this beautiful cottage! All the comforts of home, even the beds felt wonderful, and the bathroom , well what can you say about perfection? Great overall property, beautiful views, breathtaking happiness! Thank you again, The Tedesco's and Rina

Hi Fausta! Your chocolate chip cookies you left for us were a huge hit in our home. Thank you! You were awesome guests - our home was spotless - so well cared for - thank you. I also appreciated your advice from a veteran renter to this newbie host (what to include in our information package). Warm regards, Barb

Our week stay at B'Haven was wonderful. This beautifully restored lake house is truly charming with it's well appointed rooms, located on a large private lot. The kitchen has all the amenities of home. We loved being right on the water; kayaking and swimming out to the island were great for the adult kids while jumping off the dock and playing on the sandy shore was fun for the toddlers. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating; a phone call away if needed. We are definitely considering return stays.

Owner response:
Thanks, Susan. If we could review renters, you and Robert would receive 5 stars! Talk soon.

We stayed at the B'Haven cottage in early July.We were impressed with every aspect of the cottage. The recent renovation of the home (it feels more like a home than a cottage), has resulted in a perfect combination of comfort amd practibility. From the beautifull artwork to the picture windows you always have a relaxed feeling. The pictures on the website do not do the property justice. The 2 dock floating system is perfect for soaking up sun from 10:30 till sunset. The small island is a great spot to swim out to.The bathroom which is not shown feels as if it came out of a design showroom(as does the Kitchen). The large lot gives you a sense of privacy. As a bonus there is great bass fishing within 1/4 mile of the cottage. We are hoping to be renting this Home (cottage) again in 2020.

Craig
