Note: Dog Lake is located off of Battersea Road (County Road 11) east of the village of Battersea in Frontenac County. The lake is part of the Rideau River Canal system. a number of streams flow into Dog Lake. Water flows into Cranberry Lake via Fiddler's Elbow on the southeast side of the lake. he lake consists of several basins connected by a couple of narrows. | We just enjoyed our Easter week at this cottage. Our grandkids loved the nature walks around the cottage so much beautiful nature. Very relaxing just sitting inside reading a book and enjoying the beautiful views from the windows all across the wall. My favorite was playing board games on the dinning table in front of the water.
Owners are friendly and quick to respond. Cottage is very clean and comfortable.

| This is a great little cottage. We choose it because we needed to be close to Kingston. It's situated in a quiet little bay which made it very peaceful and relaxing for us. And we loved our little resident turtle and all the jumping fish. It had everything we needed. Beds were super comfortable, water pressure was good, and the view from inside the cottage was perfect (row of windows/lots of light so like being outside when inside). The only downside was the lack of immediate swimming but we knew this going in given the bay is shallow and the time of year we went. So we just travelled to the nearby beach, Gould lake, Frontenac provincial park, etc to get that in and also some hiking. Was a great vacation. Would definitely go back but right now we want to explore other rentals/lakes in the area.

| My husband and I were excited to rent this cottage from the beautiful photos of clear, swimmable water on Dog Lake, near Kingston. However, when we arrived there was a huge algae bloom in the bay where the cottage was located, which made swimming from the dock impossible. I feel that if we had known about the algae bloom we would not have rented the cottage. Please make sure the photos you post on your listing have a date stamp and be up front with your renters. Other than that, we enjoyed staying in the Battersea area and swimming at Gilmour Point and Loughborough Lake.

| A lovely cottage for a peaceful comfortable vacation. The kitchen is very well equipped, the beds are excellent and the furniture is big and comfy. The large dining table overlooks the lake with plenty of room for everyone. Lots of entertainment with wi-fi, TV and movies for rain days.
The lawn provides both sun and shade with plenty of lawn chairs. Very easy access to boat launch and great beach just a few minutes away. Two nearby towns provide groceries, bakeries and restaurants. All in all a lovely please to vacation and we definitely hope to return.

| This cottage is ideal for those you need an escape from the day to day routines. The host/owner was amazing and was able to provide us with all the information around the house, area and lake. The cottage is in a quiet area but close to a local beach and small local market (if required). There is also a boat launch very close by to the cottage. The lake is beautiful!
The cottage itself is nice and cozy! Perfect for family and has a wonderful view of the lake from the living-room - perfect setting for a morning coffee!
Would recommend this cottage to anyone and would definitely go back again!
