Welcome to A Day at the Lake!

Our year-round cottage offers all the comforts of home without the stress.

Located on quiet Clark Beach, along the shore, this cottage is close to nearby wineries, beaches, cycling and paddling routes, as well as birding hotspots.

Relax overlooking the lake under our large Maple tree that provides dappled shade or sit in the sun. Lounge On the deck or gather around a small fire. The back of the house offers a covered gazebo that overlooks a small garden, perfect for morning coffee or a quiet book.

MAIN FLOOR features:
Kitchen: Oven, large fridge, dishwasher, and microwave. All cutlery, dishes, glassware, and small appliances such as toaster, kettle, blender, Keurig, and coffee maker are included.

Laundry room has stackable washer and dryer for your convenience.

Large living room offers gas fireplace, comfortable sofa with chaise lounge (also double pullout sofa bed), and beautiful lake views.

Spacious bathroom has spa-like shower with several jets for comfort.

Double bedroom that is newly renovated and overlooks lake.

Sunroom with comfortable seating, natural lighting and overlooking Lake Erie.

SECOND FLOOR features:
Two queen bedrooms with ample closets.

LEISURE: BBQ, sitting areas, puzzles, crosswords, playing cards, small reading area, comfy chairs, Blu-ray and big screen tv. Spend a week or more with us!

We have an older home with modern comforts. Furnishings are new or repurposed with the goal of providing eclectic and authentic charm.

Spent a couple nights at this cottage for a quick lakeside getaway for my birthday. It was perfect! Easy check-in, a friendly and responsive host, and a spacious cottage with a great view of the lake! We spent the day outside in the breezy shade and enjoyed a fantastic lightening show over the lake at night. The bed was comfortable and the cottage well stocked. Thank you Jackie!

What a beautiful relaxing vacation.
We had a wonderful time!
The cottage had everything we needed and more. Jackie and Dennis were so helpful and friendly. Wineries within walking distance and Colchester beach with kiddy splash pad a short drive away. Thank-you to our hosts!

What a hidden gem! The cottage itself is so beautifully done, clean and inviting. It is the little extras that take it over the top! The complimentary touches are everywhere: Keurig coffee, fresh croissants, enough kitchen staples to get you through one night if you arrive late, bathroom toiletries(you just need your toothbrush & toothpaste), wood for a fire, all the bedding, towels and linens you need as well. You can't beat the price for all the amenities this cottage has to offer.
Thanks Jackie, we had a fantastic girls weekend!

P.S. this is just my personal preference: would have liked a fire pit on the waterfront instead of in the front yard. With the winds I know a wood fire pit would be unsafe but maybe for the future a gas one would work and add so much to the cottage experience.

To start off Jackie was very helpful and super sweet giving us information and helping us with our booking. The pictures of the cottage do not do it justice. The view from basically anywhere in the cottage is to die for, water as far as you can see. There's also nothing more calming than listening to the water while falling asleep or just sitting in the back relaxing in the hammock. Definitely will come back.
